Hold on I can see the post where you agree with Hullbee not abee is this the one or is there another one? Not sure if so.

No don't do this to me someone finally agrees with me and the mods want the post deleted and the person agreeing with me wants to change who they agree with!!!!

This is an outrage that my twitter followers will be reading about tonight!!!!

Apology from BFC Needed

Absolutely bonkers! If some of the main protagonists in this ongoing, never-ending, gordian knot of Empire building, put as much effort into supporting the club, we'd be in the FA Cup semis this weekend.

Give your heads a shake, everyone else just cracks up laughing at your Gordon Brittasesque spats.

Apology from BFC Needed

It's a power struggle with BU reps desperatly trying to cling onto power, influence and position prior to MB's formal takeover.

My thoughts exactly. It would be interesting to se if Wisbee is on Mark Chapman's 'find and destroy' list after the denials that we had on here.

Apologies I may have over-egged that, or paraphased it. I don't remember Mark explicity asking or suggesting individuals to be banned. More generic..... yes. Demanding to know why we have lifted some bans....definitely.

It was another of those 'now you see it, then you don't' moments where posts are amended/deleted and then all knowledge is denied when referred to later.....you know one of those... 'Show me where that was said'......'I can't because it's now been deleted' moments.

'alan bird' was amended to 'aber' by nocoat who has now corrected it........but 'you can call me Al' (copyright Paul Simon)

Accept it is totally clear from what remains of the chain. But carry on if it tops up your smugometer! :)

This is clearly a job for 'settherecordstraight' the recent runaway winner in the most pompous ever user name award on Beesotted.

Even though I think the play offs are still a tough ask (Please dont ban me) I will give the team my full support and hopefully we can all help push the team to success.
Wheres Sweepy the voice of reason when you need him !!!

Paul USA was so right in welcoming Abee's timely return to our musings. He's so often on the ball with issues and I think he's spot on again. There needs to be a proper separation between elected reps social media comments and their other club/GPG pronouncements. Don't stay away too long Abee, you are missed.

I'm upset because 'aber' means **** in Xhosa... that funny clicking language and I assumed you were having a go at me but nocoat owned up.

Ha, I see! Good post. Assume made an ass of a & ber then. Apology accepted. Nocoat is fluent in Zulu & Afrikaans but not Xhosa. :backtotopic:

Surely General Bees Discussion :thetruth:

However as you're here, I shall opine :thetruth:

It's an unusual metaphor to describe the postings of a child on a football website no doubt. However not sure if the club have a case to answer here. If the club do can we also rope SNAP in for that rhythm is a dancer song? that always pissed me right off as well.

snap nicked it from jvc force.

it as a figure of speech, allbeit not a nice one.

:imwith:

With respect, I cannot understand anyone taking offence at the simile, nor should the GPG as a whole worry about criticisms from outside.
However, it wouldn't hurt Mark to be a little less bullish and antagonistic to those with whom he differs - but the same goes for all of us.
It's only football - well, that's how it all started out.

It would never of course have occurred to you for one little Brentford minute that I no longer care what you say or do which is why I am now quite content for you and your mates to call me anything you all wish. I'm no longer inside the tent nor worry about being told on here that my conduct is unbecoming that of a BFC director (translation 'damaging to the Club')......I took a hard look at some of my posts, regretted that I had allowed myself to be drawn intoi personal issues on the GPG and confirmed that in the TITS Q&A. As I have said previously I have resigned and nobody has to worry about my 'conduct' anymore.

Apology from BFC Needed

This thread started because Les Beeavinu believed that the Club should apologise for something Mark Chapman put on his 'Twitter' account/page (whatever it's called). Les also wanted the Club to apologise on this site. I believed that Les was shooting at the wrong target and as I have already posted Mark Chapman was put on to the BFC board by Bees United and my first position is that it's a BU problem.

Let me give you an example. David Heath is on the BFC board at my sole discretion........I can remove him in five minutes with one email but I have to say that if DH has a 'Twitter' page (I've no idea) and posted as did Mark Chapman then I wouldn't have batted an eyelash and I would also venture to say that Les would not be demanding an apology from the Club because it would have gone unremarked. I stand by what I said yesterday. If Banana, Les and others feel that strongly then let them get the subject onto the Agenda at the next BU board meeting, let's all pop along (can guests still go by the way?) and hear the quality of the debate and the result.

Apology from BFC Needed

I personally have no issue with BU, mainly because I haven't a clue what they do or what they are around for (see previous posts).

If a Brentford supporter suggested the same as Mark Chapman, that would be passed off as fair comment and a personal opinion. However, I do have a problem with a Brentford Director saying something though because, despite any disclaimer that his views are nothing to do with BFC, he will inevitably take that view into either boardroom and seek to do something about it.

What really got my goat was that I was happily reading some balanced views on what I regarded was a good point in difficult circumstances, a poster said something completely off the wall (Banana and I believe he was trolling) and the aforementioned decided to tell the Twitter world (widely read by players and the BFC owner) that this site is a "cancer". I wasn't really outraged by use of the word although it is as crass and insensitive as I might expect from the individual concerned. I was however very unhappy about the unfairness of his tweet based on 1 post and the impression that it might give to his "followers" lol that this site was being less than appreciative of the team's effort - that wasn't how I read it.

I think, in the cold light of day, our reaction to "Tom the Bee" was disproportionate and I'm pleased to see Banana's offer yesterday for him to contact us to re-instate his account if he wants to. The moderators on this site have though been getting completely fed up with what we believe is a smallish number of fans who will find nothing good to say about the club and we make no apology for saying that those who are in that category are not really welcome - this is after all a private site and the owner can run it as he sees fit. We like to think that we moderate this site well in comparison with other sites but don't underestimate the difficulties that we face at times.

Love and peace all. :)

Good. I'm glad that someone else is getting hacked off with supporters who 'find nothing good to say about the Club'.

When I was a BFC director I wasted a lot of time trying to respond to some of the crap on here and particularly by supporters who had their own agenda. Everything the Club did was a 'disgrace'.....if I remember that phrase was used by someone who felt that he/she didn't get the service from Hospitality that he/she deserved........others dived in re the Fun Day or lack of last summer and you can see the level to which that particular debate was reduced. Whatever official announcement was made then according to some on the GPG the people who ran BFC were totally and utterly ****ing useless and they should bugger off. I resigned from the BFC board because I believed that it needed someone else to refresh the finances side of the business as I was getting stale having gone beyond my standard self-imposed three years per job rule. I took a complete hiatus from BFC. I've been to one match since last October whilst I took stock on whether I wished to spend anymore of whatever time I have left in this world being involved with Brentford Football Club. However I'm a little refreshed and I can deal with anything I want on here without now being told that my 'conduct is unbecoming a BFC director' (I was there before Mark Chapman pinned himself to the bullseye on the target board) and until of course I get banned.

A cure for the cancer found !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Despite what some may write about the GPG and it's members - The "Cure" has been found by the tremendous support that I have been receiving for the efforts of GPG.FC to raise funds for young Connor Whipp.

The GPG can hold it's head very VERY high and know that when push comes to shove they come through. (As hey did last year and no doubt will do so again next year)

And the GPG with abee back on board is a far more balanced, sensible, logical, thoughtfull, sincere, nice place to be.

Apology from BFC Needed

I think that we should be told the facts about GPG and rebus as to what the current beef is really about....

Seems to me a little over the top demanding and the club apologise for such a comment. Rebus wasn't aiming his cancer comment at individuals just using it as a way of describing his feeling about GPG. I am sure we have all heard politicians, football managers using similar words to describe the London riots or the money spent on wages in the game.

Lets get a grip people.

Clearly some beef between rebus and GPG so let's have all the facts before we start a witch hunt for no good reason as far as I can see it

Personally I have always been amazed that MC has been in this position. I never had any real opinion on him one way or the other until the day I made a throw away comment saying that IMO Stephen Hunt has excelled in his career given his talent and will likely spend his career fighting relegation in the premiership with various teams (7 years on I would challenge anyone to disagree with me) For the next 12 months or so I had to put up with him tailing every one of my posts with sarcastic comments along the lines of "another gem from maidenheads finest" and so on and so forth. Personally it didn't really bother me but I did think that someone with that mentality should not be allowed anywhere near a board of anything particularly a club I care deeply about, but as many others put their trust in him I just though so what.

The fact he upsets nearly everyone he comes into contact with does not really surprise me at all as he seems a very confrontational and insecure individual but I supposed if he is deemed to be doing a good job for BFC then so be it.

As for the cancer jibe, it really is another very confrontational and unnecessary comment as I would expect the club to be wanting to forge closer relationships with what has become an institution for Brentford fans over the last 15 years. He has probably forgotten this is the same medium he used to promote himself into his current position not so long ago so it appears somewhat contradictory. I would expect a board member to act with dignity and decorum at all times when representing this club but each to his own.

Apology from BFC Needed

Omnibus edition for those unable to watch during the week

Scene 1 Young bees fan offers an opinion in which he says it is his belief that we arent good enough to go up

Scene 2 The GPG overreact as they dont like him having a negative opinion at this stage of the season

Scene 3 Chapman overreacts on Twitter and uses a nasty word to describe the negativity on the gpg

Scene 4 Les Beeavineau overreacts and takes personal offence and says Chapman should be taken to task

Scene 5 abee rises Lazarus like and has a big hitters argument with Banana (in the style of 2 small boys in a playground). Lots of GPGers secretly cheer on abee, whilst knowing deep down that the code of conduct clearly states Banana is never wrong and therefore ultimately the argument is futile

Scene 6 All sorts of GPG legends start to post their opinion, and squabbles break out left right and centre, including one on spelling.

Final Scene: Cuts to young bees fan watching this in his darkened bedroom stroking a white cat , and muttering 'One day this will all be mine...'
