Don't believe "Arry has ever been in the frame for the next England manager...to much baggage like TV. The press would love him to get it so they can spend the next four years knocking him down.

If found guilt of tax evasion it could spell the end of not only any England hopes but his job at Spurs as well IMHO.

Dont think Spurs will ditch him.. he has done so much in short little time to improve them..
Plus, I also think they were aware of the situation before appointing him, were they not?

Yes he was and I know some other dealings when he was still a player that have question marks in my mind.

If he is convicted I wouldn't be so sure his job is safe, Spurs is more of a business than a football club, people have been sacked for less. Image and reputation is everything especially for a club that is already under fire over their behaviour regards the Olympic stadium and West Ham.

I would very surprised of they don't already have someone in mind just in case.

Prosecution case sounds strong, it will be interesting to hear his defence, I guess it will based on the mystery "Rosie 47" account being nothing to do with him or the prosecution being unable to prove it is his.

However anyone prosecuting a football hooigan for just being in the same street as a riot next door to Upton Park is completely innocent when take to court by others that are "pretty confident" of a conviction.

Yet another example of how our national game is all about money and greed.

Even if Arry is found innocent, I really don`t want someone who stashes money in Monaco on the sly to be the next England manager. Of course he is probably just copying the clever accounting or evasion –call it what you will – of some of the players.

Who paid for this bung? – us the ordinary fans.

Unfortunately a lot of fans would forgive the behaviour of these two if Spurs got in the top 4.

I personally think that the recession, will hopefully open fans eyes to the behaviour of our so called fit and proper owners.

Why is it that people with pots of money feel the need to avoid (allegedly) paying tax. Look at that sh*te Romney in the US and the way he seems to have (and admitted it) got around the system. These sorts of people are greedy scum. Compare that to the poor b*st*ard who is struggling on benefits and secretly does a little job on the side to earn an extra few quid he/she very quickly gets banged to rights

Do you bung in a bit extra? Not enter deductions? Your comparison is off because one is fraud and the other is within the law. The fault lies with complexity in tax codes and the way the tax laws are drafted, nobody pays more tax than they have to, especially in the us i'd be tempted to send my philanthropic dollar elsewhere rather than a giant indebted organisation that invades other countries without justification. It ****s me off this ridiculous left wing nonsense, and aren't you a teacher? Also the uk currently has a government that lets vodaphone pff their tax bills even when they've got them bang to rights, so criticising people that legitimately avoid paying tax is a bit off the mark.

Lester Piggott had done it for all his earnings over 8 years though iirc. This is just 2 payments.

We have racists, thugs and the like playing so if he's the right man for the job footballing wise are the FA going to take the moral high ground and say he can't be manager because he evaded tax?
