“I spoke to Andy Awford a while back to say we’d like to get him in training with the first team as soon as possible, because he’s a player we’re excited about. He’s got a great left foot, terrific dribbling and passing ability and he fits into how we want to play.

“As people who came to the Youth Cup game last week saw, he can come up with a goal. Apart from Jack Snelus’ hat-trick, he was one of the brightest things about that win.

“It’s not just from that game though. The way he plays is a little bit different, he’s got good character about him and it’s the way he’s been around the place.

“We have high hopes for him, but he has to continue working hard and learning as he has been, because this is just the start for him.”

Welcome and good luck. Obviously one for the future but a striker we bought from Luton did ok for us?

Interesting!

Guessing contract finished in June? Not quite worked out as Luton hoped? 1+1 looks like a reasonable bet.

I think they offered him a new development one but he rejected it as it seems he hasn't been given the chance to step up he was expecting.. Luton fans seem quite disappointed..

Their O/S states he declined their contract offer, and we’ve paid compensation to them and taken him on. 7 x Checkatrade apps, so it looks possibly like a B+ contract...

Interesting to see how things develop because Jack Snelus who scored the hattrick is the son of my niece and was released by Luton a year later. It is about taking opportunities as they arise.

Maybe he was 19th man today or something, as he appears to have been given the #37 shirt, according to wiki. Though he hasn't been in a first team squad yet, maybe he's the next off the conveyor belt.

Apparently he played fullback for Luton but he’s either a centre midfield or wide player for us.

Doing very well on his loan, unfortunately he is out of contract in the summer. He walked from Luton and I fear he will do the same to us. If so will be a great shame but because he will come back a much improved player,

He is 21 though so he's at that point where we either let them go or give them a big deal. It looks like he's comfortable at league 2 level but would need to step up a bit to get involved in the Championship. You look at the bigger name B/fringe first teamers, Zamburek and Oksanen (Sorenson and Forss last year) and they've all been plying their trade a level up despite being younger. I suspect this move is mainly to get him a move at the end of his contract.. Shame as he's a lovely player but perhaps not quite good enough?
