I'd say they have gone up considerably...he is top class and will be a big miss for them.
I remember Swann implying this would happen shortly after he retiring. That Lyon would be different bowling over here. Let's hope he is right.Lyon is getting tw*tted all over the shop

Ryan Harris announces his retirement from cricket. A quality bowler and for me England's chances have gone up slightly.
Ok quality when he bowled yes but completely injury prone. I think he may have been asked to retire. interesting that nearly 45% of his test matches he bowled in was against England. I personally think Harris retiring has no impact on the series ahead.
Starc IMO is probably currently the best fast bowler in world cricket. Superb WC and great IPL. Virat rates him highly.
Going back to Lyon, I think that he is a high quality off-spinner in the classical style which evolved after the change in the LBW law.
He has that lovely ball-on-a-string loop that the classy finger-spinners have.
I could be wrong but I wouldn't underestimate him.
How does Virat compare him to his nemesis Anderson?
Warner back being a pratt again. Thickest player on the circuit.

Great player though.
