It was Juneish 2013. The Melbourne supporters wore blue and white if that helps. I've got a photo somewhere. I travelled down the coast from Darwin but not specifically for the game. Away from the East coast Aussies drive ridiculous distances. Hitch hiking around Oz in the 70s you could spend a couple of days with the same lift.

I think it was North Melbourne Football club. The Roos. No idea what the Freo team was called.

So it works out it was Fremantle v North Melbourne played June 23rd 2013.
However the game was not played in Fremantle as you claimed but in Subico 35 miles north.
So you were lying lol

I’m in London and will be watching Grand Final at the Alma Hotel in Wandsworth. Geelong v Brisbane. 5:30 am start. It’s a sell out for the pub apparently. Go Cats!
