Can we please have an forum specifically for all of the items that are being Auctioned.

This forum could be declared the official Bees United auction site and have its own direct link from the websites of BEES UNITED, the club (through links at the end of articles/ stories on the items being auctioned).

Would it not make sense to have a Bees United forum?

Why not have both? I like the idea of an auction forum, then the auctions wont get 'lost' and disappear from view and forgotten. Is there anyway of making the forum so that the posts never disappear (or are constantly 'on top' so the 'view topics for 2etc days' option doesnt affect it?)?

Isn't there some kind of link between the official BFC site and QXL the internet auctioneers, that nets the club some dosh if we use it?

You can do 'stickies' on vBulletin boards but not UBB boards.

Didn't we have a Bees United forum that wasn't used? I think its in the archives now under the heading "This forum is closed"

Why not just stick the itmes on Ebay and link to them, that way there may be other people that will bid for the items putting the price up.

True, but Ebay take a cut (I would assume), don;t they?
So, we might also raise less...

Also, there is the hassle of having to send the item to Ebay for them to send it on to the lucky bidder...

Ebay take a cut, but you dont have to send them the item.
Not sure what percentage they take, but its not worth going thru them IMO.

Chaps, if you want to help Bees United, do the auctions through the club website via QXL, this will net us (Bees United) a lot more money through rights fees, etc

trust me!
