Bans for Simulation

Bans for Simulation

Now I'm sure we are all for bans/yellow cards for simulation but I wonder what is documented below is taking liberty somewhat.

https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/bristol-city-fc-statement-bailey-wright/

I don't know. Seems rather harsh

Why did the player go down holding his face in his hands? He didn't get hit there. It was his chest. Get up and grow up. Tart.

ps Why didn't Tony Craig get away with being accused of punching an opponent at Sheff U the other year? If TC wanted to punch him, I'm sure the fella - can't remember his name now - would've been marked.

Ban the bloke for simulation and ban the bloke for using his hands to push him away. Simple really.

Bans for Simulation

That's what I mean. It doesn't make sense. There is clearly an offence from Fulham player but can't see how you go full circle and punish the Bristol player. It's a weird one though I admit

Because he pretended to get hit in the face therefore getting the fulham player sent off , giving Bristol a one man advantage for the remainder of the game , it's cheating of the highest order for me , if he gave him a right hander then fair enough , if I was Bristols manager I would drop him until he's man enough to stand up to being pushed ..my grandsons are always pushing each other and I've yet to see one of them react that way and they are 2 and 4 years old.

Frankly, it's a p1ss-take on the part of Bristol City too. Their statement is complaining about the decision and they include a video clip which clearly shows that it was a push, yet their player acts like he's been punched by Mike Tyson.

It's simulation definitely but what I drew from the video is that there is still an intent from the Fulham player. Just a grey area for me .

I do think he goes down too easy and shouldn't have been holding his face however the Fulham player had every opportunity to go around him if not stop. He saw what and who he was running at. It is a similar thing to the Preston situation with Nico but at a slightly greater distance.

Yes the Bristol city player made a meal of it, but there was still violet conduct involved.

Looks a clear red card to me

If TC had hit him he wouldn't have got up. ******!

He's clearly overacting but a ban is crazy as there's a bazillion exaggerations of challenges every week and they don't go round banning 500 players per week. Either they should do it for all or not at all and they're not going to go doing it for all.

Bans for Simulation

Wolves player massively overacting right now, for example, from a challenge that never touched him (even if it was a dangerous high challenge). Exactly the same as this (except he probably didn't get touched in this instance!).

They have to start somewhere and as soon as a few more are charged, others might be a bit more reluctant to behave in that way knowing the potential consequences, I could also apply same sentiments regarding certain mps , actors and film producer's.

Glad this happened and I would agree with banning nay player who makes too much of a challenge

They do, and if this is the first in many more, that's fair enough. However do you want to take my bet that it's going to just be one of a token few and there will still be thousands of instances of this behaviour every week? ;)
