Rushden losing isn't good - the gap was 4 points - its now 2 :(

Rushden will be one of the four to go along with Notts and Wycombe. We're alll fighting to avoid one place now.

Bournemouth 5-1 down at home to Tranmere. although not directly affecting us today this should mean that come the last game of the season they will have nothing to play for....hopefully

One more win should do it, and under maddog that will NOT be a problem.

Absolutely. We've got three wins coming up after today. Some of the players (notably Dobbo, importantly) have improved dramatically in just the month since he's been here.

There's a lot of teams putting good runs together but none as good as us at the moment. I'm confident now for the first time in a long time. If we can keep hold of this lead.

This is my 64th message of drivel and I'm not apologising!

WE WON - brilliant. Mind you - where did all that extra time come from?

I feel so proud and optimistic for the first time in ages. Providing we can stay up, next season could be nice.

Barnsley Updates.

I wasn't expecting 7 games unbeaten to avoid relegation, I was expecting a scrap where we maybe stayed in the bottom 4 until the last day or at least the Grimsby game. Martin Allen and the lads have exceeded what anyone could have hoped for and restored pride in our team. I hope his infectious personality and the spirit, fight and talent of the players can persuade a few more lapsed Bees to come along to GP and cheer us to safety.

Hang on, let's not get carried away. We're the same distance away from the relegation zone as we were before the game (2 points). Wycombe is another MUST win. I'll be there, come on u reds

I just hope he doesn't get the infamous Manager of the Month award - we all know what follows......brilliant stuff Bees. MA - Miracle Achiever? Picking up on Nigel's point I do think fans have every right to be angry about what Downes and Thompson did to our team. But let's bee thankful eh?

Yes but we're not playing catch up with teams like Rushden, Oldham, Stockport and Peterborough anymore and we are also looking forward to a very winnable home game as opposed to a tough away trip which was the situation before today. You can't help but feel positive the way Allen and the boys are playing.
