Does this mean, oh, has anyone seen Christian recently?
He would be good cover to the back 4 . Has a good eye for the forward pass. A couple of years contract would help us bring on some of the fringe/B Squad lads
We can't constantly dismiss players based on age - personally I'd have him at the right wages although it would mean we have a lot of AM so maybe someone is going on loan (or Baptiste is out longer term)

Hmmm, there's no doubting he's a great talent, but if you look at his CV, you have to wonder why he's moved round so many clubs, without ever winning much. He should be a PL regular, with three times as many Scotland caps (27 over 10 years).
Bit of a Dickhead?
"On 23 October 2011, Bannan crashed his Range Rover Sport on the M1 near Watnall, Nottinghamshire, while returning to Birmingham from a party in Leeds. A month later, Nottingham Magistrates' Court found him guilty of drink driving, failing to stop after an accident, driving without due care, and driving on a provisional licence. He pleaded guilty and received an 18-month driving ban and a £4,500 fine. Former Aston Villa player Pat Heard was Bannan's driving instructor."

we didn't want Ben WatsonAfter missing out on Ben Watson, this would be a great signing.
It was 2011, he was in his early twenties and at 5'6" he probably had trouble looking over the steering wheel, drunk or otherwise. He may have changed and he may not be a dickhead when it comes to football matters; although he probably hasn't got any tallerHmmm, there's no doubting he's a great talent, but if you look at his CV, you have to wonder why he's moved round so many clubs, without ever winning much. Nobody in their right minds wouldwe didn't want Ben Watson
I guess we've banked enough from Ollie and Saïd that we can go for some more experience without worrying about resale value. We can't constantly dismiss players based on age - personally I'd have him at the right wages although it would mean we have a lot of AM so maybe someone is going on loan (or Baptiste is out longer term)
NINE (9) years ago. 25% of his entire lifetime ago. I would say that he's their captain and best player and given they're still stuck in the minus numbers on points it is hard to see them letting him go even if they will lose him on a free next year.
25%?
33%, even more then. So drawing attention the incident is EVER MORE irrelevant.25%?
Eh? so what are you trying to say. Are you for the transfer or against it? Sounds like Alan Partridge considering buying a house near a deaf school ‘So is that less noise or more noise?’Hey, don't shoot me for asking a question.
My real point was that after showing his immense promise from first joining Villa's Academy and breaking into the first team as a teenager, where he received huge praise from the likes of Houllier, how come he spent the best part of the next decade slumming it on loans to mediocre clubs like Derby, Blackpool and Bolton?
Fair enough, he seems to have settled down a bit more recently, but even then, it's bloody Sheffield Wednesday - a joke of a club.
Considering how he still managed to look like a proper footballer even in the middle of that 5-0 drubbing at GP, you have to wonder why he's not tearing up the Premier League with some half-decent club. Certainly with only 27 caps over 10 years, he must have upset a good few Scottish managers not to get to be a nailed-on regular in that shambles.

IMO there are two things that makes your posts kinda irrelevant; firstly the Club has a real, well publicised, policy that whatever a player may be capable of on the pitch we will not sign him unless the Club are satisified with his temperament and behaviour; and that the Club's looks at this as part of the due diligence undertaken before he signed; secondly it really is not great to refer to something he did a third of his life ago; really poor to post this imo.Hey, don't shoot me for asking a question.

I think he missed out the ?After doing what???
We were never interested in that chopper so how can we have missed out?
After the 5-0 game, I remember checking out Bannan's CV, since I was surprised to see what was clearly a Premier League talent playing in a crap Championship club, all the more so since he was already 30, but had had his chance as a youngster at the top level.Eh? so what are you trying to say. Are you for the transfer or against it? Sounds like Alan Partridge considering buying a house near a deaf school ‘So is that less noise or more noise?’
On the pitch he isn't a Christian replacement, he's going back to a Woods style of player
