Took my son to play in a footie tournament in Loughborough today. Driving back through L/borough at approx 15:00 and I spot a guy driving car wearing a Bees shirt. Are we getting everywhere??

wish that was the case mate - took my son down to BP playing fields in Feltham this morning for a kickabout on the 5 a side pitch and there was a kids tournament for under 11's on the grass pitches. all these kids had football shirts on BUT NOT ONE had a bees top on. the majority had chelsea/man u/arsenal on but alarmingly there were a handful of foolham shirts as well.
Feltham is a tradionally brentford area and it was heartbraking not to see any kids showing their allegiance to the bees.
my son was proudly wearing his stripes(at 2 he even asks to wear it - indoctrinated or what??!!!)but surely this shows how low the bees have fallen in recent years.

WHAT R U GOING TO DO TO ALTER THIS TREND NOADES???? - F$£k all as usual no doubt as any press you give makes us a laughing stock to most london clubs.

today summed it all up really.........

Voice agree with you.

Also have you seen the cost of kids shirts....Stone Island shirts are cheaper.

I am at Loughborough Uni - where was the tournament? I am a Bees fan and have the away strip, but knew of no other Bees fans in the area - what strip was he wearing?

exactly..bollox, from what i saw on the telly, out of the crowd of 23,600 orient had about 5,000 fans

just saying, it's what i heard, from someone in the know at orient... they couldn't get the right amount of coaches, and the trains were a joke... access to the Millennium Stadium has definitely got to be improved, even if the above is bollox

Bucks Bee, the tournament was at the Derby Rd Playing Fields, but the guy I spotted was near the Uni, I think. He was wearing the current home shirt.

with orient and reading losing it's been an excellent finish to an otherwise trying season.

I was in Selsey from Thursday to last night. Wasn't me but I've never heard of or seen the Lido or Dockyard. In fact there's not a dockyard at Selsey. Where exactly was this? Got a great Lido in Ruislip though!

A Bee in a black zip up on platform 22 at Waterloo earlier. I didn't have time to stop

OT I know but myself and the missus were in Seaford today. We often go there for a day out and a lovely stroll along the esplanade between Newhaven harbour and the walk way up to Beachy Head. Anyway on the previous visits there I was always happy to see one of the beach side bungalows displaying a red and white sign saying "Griffin Park", however couldn't see it today . Assumed obviously it was owned by a Bee who has now sold up or God forbid passed on. Alternatively West Sussex may have told them to take it down considering the close proximity to BHA. :(

Hope not but we will fight them on the beaches

I'm just down the road from Selsey (visiting parents) - The Dockyard is part of the Seal Bay complex. When I was young, parents had a caravan on West Sands - looks like the resort names have all changed.

Bunn Leisure was bought out by an American company.

Oh right thanks. I never go there having our own place on East Beach so it's just the village pubs and restaurants for us. I did have a very amusing weekend away on the complex about 10 years ago when my old Sunday side rented a couple of fixed homes for a get together weekend away. Great laugh but I stayed in my own gaff!. They turned up to no sheets or towels - grimm! The go carting, crazy golf, computer games etc were great fun for our off the cuff super stars competition! A couple of them copted off as well! We were all in our 40's / 50's so I'll leave the rest to your imagination!

Several Bees in Seaford myself included plus another down the road in East Dean.

Sitting in my village local in Oxfordshire I was joshing with the landlord (Spurs) about Toney and the sole other customer looked up from his phone and said ‘are you Brentford?’ He was about 23 and I was staggered when he said he is a ST holder with his Dad in the North Stand. He did not think it was amazing but I was gobsmacked. New Brentford think we were always ‘famous’.

I’ll be in Seal Bay for a few nights next week funnily enough - might wear some bees clobber see if I get spotted too ??

Any tips for good things to do there?

We have only used the Waterfront bit of the complex to any great extent. Nice restaurant and bar and various food outlets. My grandchildren love it, especially the arcade. There is a disco and concert hall but haven't been in either. We tend to head to West Wittering beach in the daytime. Pubs in area are all pretty good.

Yep have been but my pubs of choice are the Lifeboat (nearest to us on Eastbeach) and The Seal. Both nice for meals but close food down too early in my opinion. Circa 8.00pm when we are just thinking of going out!

I very much doubt that was a Bees shirt. The arms would just flap about. My guess is that it was a red and white car cover.

The Lifeboat is our pub of choice as it’s dog friendly.

I was in West Quay shopping centre earlier this week and saw a kid in a red and white striped footy shirt. Thought it was one of the local scummers wearing an old Saints shirt but to my surprise it was a Bees shirt... :sorted:

Picked up some people in the taxi last weekend. A young lady sat in the front, her boyfriend and his mother sat in the back. Got chatting to her and it transpired they were over on the island from London. She said she was from Peckham. But she was gobsmacked when I told her I was from Brentford. Turned out fella me lad in the back was a season ticket holder and Mother has lived all her life in Brentford. I didn't get to chat to them about it as the Peckham lass was acting very much in a chaperone role, on account of the fact that the two in the back were absolutely c**ted and either sleeping or talking gibberish. I was glad to get the f***ers out of the car to be honest. :)
