Bees Down Under

Don't suppose there are any Bees in Sydney that know of any places the match will be on at?

A Happy Australia Day to all Bees fans living down under, think there’s a few of us.
A great day to celebrate what you love about this great country. A land of opportunity.

Yes, Happy Australia Day from Trevallyn, Tasmania.
(perfect but don’t you notice Year on year, it’s getting uncomfortably hot?)
Still worth it though.

Bees Down Under

Mill wall game televised on Foxtel for all Aussie bees .

Can the title of this thread be amended please ... I really don't like the words 'down' and 'under' associated with the mighty Bees -:)

Moving to Melbourne in September for a two year period! Looking forward to joining our antipodean supporters club, not looking forward to missing last game at GP and our promotion to the premiership....

Hope that your 2years don't turn out like mine, I left for N.Z. for 2 years and 44 years later i'm still there, married, 2 daughter's and 1 grandson, I am saving hard to be able to come back for the last game at G.P. and the first at Lionel Road, fingers crossed.

All I read about Australia is that the driving standard is very poor. I would like to know how a "hook turn" works though!

You pull over to the left.......to turn right....

Bees Down Under

If you turn right from the right hand lane you will be bummed by a tram. Obvious!

It's mini roundabouts the aussies struggle with....one of my favourite pastimes is sitting at the window in a pub in Balmain watching the near misses at the roundabout outside. There's one every 30 seconds its bizarre...

Try explaining the highway code to a kangaroo. I was trained by a squirrel. (The Tuffty Club)

That hook turn is just stupid. Why not turn right from the right most available lane rather than the left most available lane. Stupid.

I guess from the Tram driver’s view, they will know crossing traffic will be coming at right angles effectively, rather than racing up alongside (and often less visible)?

The right-most available lane, excluding the one trams are in.

I think because of the gridlike nature of Melbourne's cbd roads there's never that much traffic that needs to turn right at any given intersection. If you only need 3-4 cars to turn right on a light change then it's simpler to tuck them away to the left until the light changes rather than have them block the through lane and have cars go around them, especially as these are also bike and pedestrian areas.

In reality of course it's because we're a bunch of hipster ***** who love to sneer at people who can't handle hook turns or complex hybrid coffee orders.

The London Hotel?

It is on, but it’s not live.
Thursday 8.10 am on BEIN2.

Choice to ignore all media until then if you watch it as ‘live’! No chance I could do that LOL

I've never bothered with illegal streams before, but I have to say that I'm tempted for the Arsenal game. As I've no experience with them, are they worth it? What's the quality like? Will there definitely be one that's any good? Will it be more frustrating than waiting till the delayed action starts on BeIN? Any advice gratefully received.

I've never had any luck and so many dodgy links. Put your internet condoms on.

Settled in in Melbourne a bit now, yet to find any bees but I'm sure there's masses of us somewhere?

Streams I find are a lot less dodgy than in the past. Finding real ones is the issue but once you know where they can be excellent and often in HD as well. Sometimes not, too.

Because it holds up the trams. It looks crazy at first, but it does make sense.

Having now seen it first hand I begrudgingly accept that it does actually work well and makes perfect sense given the roads..

Slightly (well, 6000 miles) off subject: A few Bees here in South Africa too.
