Bees Search

I have been using this as my homepage/search engine for ages now. It's not been working in the last few days and I get this message:

"Sorry, we couldn't find http://www.beessearch.co.uk/. Here are some related websites: "

It then goes on to give me websites regarding bee keeping in New Zealand! lol

Anyone else having this problem? Hope this is helpful.

I've also been having trouble accessing Bees Search for a week or so. I wondered if it was me, my computer, the Internet - or whether the site had closed down?

As I use the site on average 10/11 times a day, I contacted the club, and was told the site is a version of Google that was set up a supporter. Although the club gets funds raised by the service, it is not maintained by, or officially affiliated with the club.

Does anyone know who runs it? And IS it still working?

The first post on the thread gave it away for me:

Bees Search is now fully launched and operational and ready to make more money for the club.

The site has been set up to make money for BFC whilst you carry out searches as you normally would on google. It works like this:

1. Advertisers pay Google for every click that someone makes on their advert (top of search page) in exchange for sending customers their way.

2. Google want people to use them to search the net so they pass on a small percentage of click to sites like Bees Search.

3. Google happy with more traffic, advertiser happy as more customers, BFC happy as more commission.

The search results you get are exactly the same as if you were using google.co.uk, but do NOT use the site just to click on ads to make money. Google do not want this to happen, and track suspicious activity: search to click ratios etc - the site will be banned if this happens.

In the past few weeks with only a few people using the site Bees Search has made just under £100.

With all of us using it day to day it could make everyone very happy indeed!
