the important point to remember is that it just takes a thousand fans to put forward a thousand pounds each in loans - which is not impossible - to save the club from the disaster of administration, and depending on the speed we do it from losing its best manager in years and many of its best players. steve coppell if you are reading this we need you guys to stay!!!

I attended the ABeeC meeting last night, as i didnt want to sit on my a**e and moan that nothing was done when the unthinkable happens.
What struck me is there are very dood people with very good knowledge from their day to day jobs putting a lot of effort in.

I listened to Luke for the first time, and was impressed at his knowledge and understanding of the relationship he and the team need to have with Bees United and his role in general.

I also spoke with people for from Bees United to express my desire to get involved, and do what ever.

It is clear that many many people who have been to GP but dont go now or are occasional fans now, and maybe most of the people who do attend regularly that the seriousness of the clubs plight is not fully appreciated.
I counted myslef in that group until last night.

If you havent joined Bees United - JOIN NOW.

I myslef spent yesterday afternoon phoning my frioends to get them to join Bees United. toiday I have brought in the brochers for my colleagues to read.

£1 million pounds is a hell of a lot of money - But we do not have a choice, Administartion and Liquidation (i.e. no more Brentford FC) is something that we can just not contemplate.

Steve Coppel wants to work for an ambitious club, where's the ambition its in our hearts.

It's time to believe, It's time to get involved. We are the class of 2002 - We all owe it to the class of 67 to do our all and to play our part (no mater how small)

It's our club, Its our problem and BEES UNITED IS our solution.

Your right, £1 million pounds is a lot of money to collect especially if your looking to collect it within a month.

A few questions:-
1. Believe it or not I'm seriously considering whether I can afford to go for a loan note. But realistically how many other people are going to contribute to something which may well turn out into being a very bad investment?
2. What's going to happen this time next year if we are still not breaking even, will everyone be asked to contribute again?
3. Can anyone guarantee me that with all this investment we can get the white haired one out, or am I just funding his expenses?
4. If Bees United do buy Noades out, where do they see us playing football in 5 years time?

Bees Bhoy - you raise some interesting points, and I'll do my best in John Mac's absence to answer them.

1 & 2) Bees United have a business plan prepared by the committee which see Brentford FC breaking even in three years, as the current levels of losses are such that bar letting all of the playing staff go, it will be impossible to break even next season.

3) The investment goes towards helping Bees United secure the funding for next season's losses and working captial to make the purchase from Ron Noades.

4) In five years time, in partnership with Hounslow Council, we (Bees United) see Brentford in a new Stadium and not on the scrapheap. your £1000 will go a hell of long way to achieving that goal.

Make that step and it will give others confidence to follow your lead.

BRENTFORD FC is in real danger of going under. I can't state it any more simple than that.

As per earlier response from Gee Bee, would it be benficial to keep the number of people who have signed up to Bees United very visible?

Comparisons can be made to GPG active members, Lifeline members etc etc.

As the applications are coming in think and fast it, would be difficult to put a number on it but the 500 mark was passed a good while back..

I would have hoped the 500 mark would have passed no more than weeks after its publicised start up. If it is more recent than that, then shame on you all.
What would be nice though is a regular update on the membership and its financial situation. Some of us are paying a monthly standing orders over and above the annual membership as well as others having purchased stakeholder shares. So it's not just 500 at £15 a time. A target has been set and we must know regularly how near or far we are from it.

It's not. This document contains senstive information so is out of the public domain. I'm sure a "watered down" version can be viewed soon. I'll get on to it.

As with any business transaction key details have to be kept from the public domain until all areas are covered and the deal finalised.

Sensitive information only needs to be made aware to the people entrusted with concluding the deal - in this case BU and Altonwood/Noades.
