Bees useless at draws

I could easily check this out myself, I know, but I'm lazy and interested in Bees fans' opinions... which team in the top four divisions has the fewest draws over the past three seasons? I bet we are up there. If so, why?

Has to be us in the last 18 months. No middle ground. Win or lose were on the booze. :-)

We did have a good few draws in the Donny season but recently we are very win or bust. It's a great strategy because more often than not we come through.

Its been said and proved by us before. Better to have points overall from wins at the expense of a few defeats, rather than loads of draws. More 3 point games, than 1 point ones.

You only have to look at the table to see the truth of it. Charlton lost one less than us, drawn 15 and are 19th, one above Rotherham who have drawn 12 and lost just 10. Wednesday are 13 points behind us, have only let in 26 and have drawn 12. Going for the win right to the death is the way to go. It all changed all those years ago when they made it 3 points for the win. Only time a draw can make sense is with a " six pointer " in my opinion.

still haven't even drawn(or lost of course) when we take the lead..

That was Noades' view at one stage

We could draw every game and we'd go down.
How many pairs of games could we put together and say we'd have been happy with a couple of draws but instead we've won one or both?
So three or six points instead of two.

Heard on the FL show Curle has been in charge at Carlisle 21 games and hasn't drawn yet! 11 wins and 10 defeats, been good enough to get them away from the drop zone when draws wouldn't have done.

I have just taken a very quick look at this, so I can't swear this to be gospel as it's not a thorough analysis, but I think that it pretty much represents the position:

From the start of the 2012-3 season up to now, for all league teams that were not in the Premier League during that that time (because they would have played less games during that time, thus distorting the results), the teams with the least draws are listed below:

Peterborough 19
Stevenage 23
Leeds 27
Crewe 27
Rochdale 27
Orient 27
5 teams 28
4 teams 29
Bees + 8 other teams 30

If we include the 2011-12 season, Peterborough still seem to come out on top with 30, followed by Swindon on 35 and Port Vale on 37. The Bees are some way behind on 43.

Has to be us in the last 18 months.
Not so, I'm afraid. From the start of the 2011-12 season, Peterborough win again with 10, followed by Port Vale and Notts Co. on 13 , then Bees, Rochdale + Stevenage on 14.

Bees useless at draws

Only 1 away draw all season is pretty staggering.

Bees useless at draws

17 games since our last one so one is well over due..... Lump on against Watford and double up after that until we draw again

Staggering that we couldn't beat Wigan. They looked pathetic and totally inept on FLS last night.

We, fans and players, were just finding our feet, we'd beat them now but back then that game had baggage and was all a bit of a mess IMO.

They've just released or sold ten players according to the FLS. With the end of PL parachute payments not too far away, they doubtless had to clear the decks of expensive non-performers. That much was more or less forced upon them, (or face the very real prospect of administration), so it is unsurprising that they seem to be in turmoil. Shame!

Interesting, In the case of stevenage its because they lost so many. So you really need to look at contenders (ie top half of tables) to do a like for like. I am surprised that Peterborough are there, given they were in the play offs
