not long back having turned round at stoke after a long detour attempting to miss the m6 nonsense, not happy, esp as this is my 4th failed attempt to see a game up there.

i seem to remember poole being one of the prime culprits last term for not performing on these sorts of nights. at this stage though, the odd wondergoal or set piece would be useful, performance isn't really needed right now

slightly.. though i can understand the sentiment. brilliant performance at shrewsbury followed by defeat, good win against chester followed by... well not looking good at the moment. consistency appears to be a slight problem at the moment!

Could it be that in both these games and others this season we took our foot off the gas big time in second half and then take the lacklustre part of the game into the next match.

it's a decent point, with the cold weather comes the greater risk of cancellations. the last thing you need is a wasted weekday trip up north to find the game cancelled... though the same excuse week on week does get wearisome i will admit...

Personally think we should have changed things around a bit tonight. I know we won the home match last week but we lost at Morecambe and Macc with virtually this team. It doesn't work for these type of games, haven't we learned this by now.

I would have started with Elder, Rhodes and Mac up front and Newton at full Back and Halls left out.

What is Williams doing on the bench again please?
