Bees v. Forest

Fairly silly one, but I enjoyed watching MK surreptitiously creep the ball forward a foot at a time while waiting for the Forest player to recover and the ref to drop the ball for play on. The ref wasn’t daft and when the Forest player got up he moved the ball back to where it was when he blew up. Well, it amused me.

The gentleman doing the half time challenge when asked whether he was confident, answering along the lines of:
“Not really. I am to football what Sam Barrott is to refereeing.” 🤣

I guess there were quite a few nice flicks from Thiago, glad to see he is improving in that area.
Not yet Toney levels, but he is definitely dealing better with those long balls

Bees v. Forest

Was there one?
A couple. A typical Jensen nutmeg pass in a first half attack.
Second half, and the ball is cleared up to Yehor in or near, the centre circle. YY takes it in the air with a Florist tight to him. I was about to shout for a foul, when YY sort of spun round him in a midair pirouette and raced away with the ball. It was a beautiful dance move…

Very little during the game, so I'll go for sam Sodje at HT.

If we had champagne moments threads when we were dogshit and in League 2, I’m sure we’ll cope with one when we’ve lost to Forest.
Ah yes and of course it’s time for another #lookhowfarwevecome

Honestly it’s tedious to be told here every time you point out any sort of negative (read: actual reality) viewpoint that it’s fine to stink the place out at home to relegation cannon fodder cos we lost to Mansfield in 2002.
It’s a tinpot mentality.
We are the 27th biggest revenue-raising club in Europe these days - either get with the program or bore off.

Maybe this is not the thread for you.

Probably not. What’s the opposite of champagne? Tonic wine? Buckfast Moment? I’ll head over there

I’ll try and think of something positive while I’m here though….
The support from the west stand was decent. Not only cos it was a Sunday but many a ground falls deathly silent when going behind - we kept trying to push em on.

Christ I remember Buckfast. Not seen it for years.!

Bad traffic on the way home? Or from the sofa? This is the valve release thread. Kindly leave if you don’t like it. But well done for taking part in the end.

Only fools and horses before kick off. Must be the work of Jmf!

Lyrics included the words 'Shepherd's Bush' blasting through in our ground, sickening to hear
🤮

Anyone mentioning Sam Sodje as a champagne moment needs to get their heads examined. No idea why that crook was invited to the Gtech by the club. Madness.

Yeah I gave him a big clap after some fun memories, then vaguely remembered after that he’d done something dodgy later in his career. Strange one from the club. Was shocked he was only here playing two years. Cult figure in a cult time but not remotely close to a legend.

My champagne moment, slim pickings, was Yehor getting out of a tight space under lots of pressure for a Forest break with the ball in the air.

It used to be known as the warm beer moment. However, this may have betrayed a preference for lager over ale, so I was always conflicted

Pointing out a negative isn't remotely close to what you were doing though, was it? You're actively discouraging people from mentioning moments of the game that they enjoyed by saying this thread should be closed.

If you're too much of a miserable git to have enjoyed any of it then that's fine, but what on Earth do you get out of telling everyone else that they shouldn't be allowed to talk about the moments they enjoyed? Nobody is forcing you to read this.

Kev's touch, run, strength and cross that almost resulted in a goal for Thiago in the 2nd minute. 👏
Agree!
After that, for the next 99 minutes, it was very much late night garage cheap Prosecco!

Can be enjoyable, but not quite like the real thing.

I missed that! :ROFLMAO:

The boy (9) becoming mature enough to understand that this was just a bad day at the office, shrugging his shoulders and saying onto the next one on the way home . He has seen such success over the past three years a slight reality check for him isn't a bad thing. Life as a fan!

Bees v. Forest

The bagpipe player in the Coach and Horse for Burns night - and i hate the bagpipes.

Bees v. Forest

The referee blowing for full time. So we could all go home and try and erase the game from our memory.👍🐝

Bees v. Forest

Trying to work out what the hell the pre match 'only fools and horses' film was about.
My best guess....Rodney Trotter...we are re-signing Marcello Trotta.
Where do I collect my G-tech hoover? Cushtie.

Definite Wes Andersen/Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou vibes. I find coaches that wear tracksuits slightly odd. It's a well-known fact that head coaches always pick sidekicks that look like them, but this is an extreme example.
The Toon's Jason Tindall is actually a negative image of Eddie Howe.

Impressive. At 9 he's already showing a higher EQ than a number of so called adults on here, home and away games. Well done to him and his parents.

Cheers Malkay. We try and be both rational and positive. There have been plenty of tears at some of the more gut wrenching late away defeats but he has said he'll remember those feelings and already we reminice about some of the great games we have seen!
