BEES WORLD cold calling

I've just had a phone call from some geezer purporting to be from BEES WORLD, presumably trying to get me to sign up again.

I was told that I was called because I supported BRENTFORD CITY!!! Seems to be in keeping with their generally cr@p service. I told the guy it was a waste of money and he hung up on me.

Has anyone else had anything similar?

Can you give me a ring at the club or PM me. This seems to be happening without our knowledge. I will investigate further.

Maybe, or maybe not relevant.

But on the 3 occasions that I have bought tickets from beestickets online, I have the following day, without fail, received some sort of cold call from @rse sales companies. Double Glazing twice, can't remember the other one, but I was ready for them and just said no straight away.

If you register you telephone number with the Telephone Preference Service they, nor anyone else, will be allowed to sell it on for sales purposes.

You add your house address to the Mail Preference Service to cut your junkmail down too.

Excellant advice as when whoever rings you up you can say that OFTEL will be notified of their violation of the telecommunications act and they can look forward to a hefty fine/closing down....

I'd also ring 1471 to get their number and keep a note of it.

Most of these companies will have withheld numbers

If you get persistent cold calls, tell them you're busy at the moment and ask for a number where you can call them back.

Assuming you've registered with the TPS pass their number on together with the dates and times that they called.

I did this for a 'home improvements' company in Harrow who were subsequently fined and warned as to their future actions.

Guess I must be 'blacklisted' on the calling lists now as I VERY rarely get cold calls.
