a great service to 'part timers' (well the last 2 seasons anyway) like me, i have the commentary on in the background some saturdays when the kids are around, otherwise i normally listen intently, great commentators too, whether WEB, Markybee, Geoffbee, etc etc. I still have the videos of the 80's/90's with NLB as commentator i believe!

You all deserve much praise.

I have to plan over 6 months in advance to fit into the the twice-a-year planning schedule, correct?

well in saying that, it's ok for some but not for others, unless you're in the 'clique' !! :D

as for commetators, if Banana speaks, as he did when seeing him in the 'BIAS/BU Open Forums', in his mono-tone bore...................then we'll stick with what we know !! :sorted: :D

Markybee has a professional delivery and could easily do radio IMO. All the other commentators (WEB and Matt etc.) are more than satisfactory. We are lucky with the quality of commentators, as is hit home on days when there are connection/sound problems and we have to tolerate grumbling northerners!

Markybee: Good summariser and not a bad commentator. However offers too much opinion relative to just telling us what is happening. I also get confused when my attention wanders for a moment and he gets very excited about an *opposition* attack :nono: (a one point deduction for that alone) 7/10

First time today I've listened to Bees World after signing up last week in a drunken stupor. I like that Markybee :sorted: He talks less b***ocks then what he writes.

Yes, as always, but Marky does sound far too excited about opposition chances! If my mind has wandered I am drawn back to the game by Marky and find myself willing the ball into the net only to find it's the bloody other team!! :eek:

Must confess the opposition sometimes sounds like a cross between Brazil/Holland but this only adds to the excitement....lol..I just have another Highland Park....YOU REDS.....:sorted:

You are commentating to to an educated/intelligent audience who prefer a more balanced commentary.

It is only those without a car and driver thast seem to be bothered.

The scorecards are out already, but I hope Markybee remembers that he doesn't have to get all excited about opposition attacks in order to remain "neutral". I think a "oh no" will do it to the 100% of BFC supporting listeners :sorted:

I am happy with the "neutral commentary" we do actually get oppo listeners because they are good at their job and long may it continue? just one question though are the commentators going to be given infractions for talking about stuff other than the match which they are inclined to do? and if they do will gpg listeners be banned from listening and also being on the updates thread as this is clearly against the "new" GPG code of conduct?

oh dear it is one of the bitter half dozen. I thought u swore never to post again. The score centre thread is too unpopular I take it

Look here Burridge - I know you do this for nothing and it takes up a lot of time and cost (It aint cheap driving up North all the time - The last time I went with you it cost 90.00 to fill your tank + plus all the tomatoes and sweets from the M'way Service Station)

But please do your best to satisfy the man without a car and driver in Hong Kong as now that he is absent you are a major link to his beloved BFC.

And I very much look forward to sharing those trips Up North with you after November 6th.

Same excellent commenatry again this Saturday please
