Beesworld Part 3
The club have today put the following on the OS:
“LEAGUE APOLOGISES
Richard Masters, Commercial Director of the Football League, has apologsied to the Club following the breakdown of the FL Interactive platform on Saturday.
Re : Technical Breakdown Saturday 27th November 2004:
Over the weekend and this morning we have been contacted by many clubs complaining of a technical breakdown within the FL Interactive platform, which denied webmasters the ability to publish stories from late on Saturday morning through to the end of the day. In addition access to the World product for the vast majority of subscribers was also denied due to technical problems experienced by Premium TV.
On behalf of FL Interactive, I would like to apologise for this breakdown. This is clearly an unacceptable position and one that we have already discussed at length with our service providers, Premium TV.
Whilst we have sought and been given assurances as to the future robustness of PTV's platform, the FL Interactive Board will discuss this matter fully on Wednesday 1st December.
Clearly the reliability of the central platform is a pre-requisite component, if we are all to continue to attract and hold onto our subscribers.
Once again, I apologise for the problems this may have caused your club. I will write to you when I have further information.
Kind regards
Richard Masters
Commercial Director
All nice words but no mention of how they intend to compensate supporters who have paid for a service that they did not recieve last Saturday.
I know this is not the club's fault or problem but once again the football authorities appear to be taking the cash cow supporters for granted!!
