Pedro's problem is that he was looking at the ball, Thatcher didn't even look at the ball, he just keeps running to hit the player.

Disgraceful - should be banned for 10 games IMO.

They are a pair of tits then, there is no case for defence in any way shape or form. Thatcher should be kicked out of the game!!! He doesn't deserve to be a footballer. Also Brown's challenge on Giggs was very bad too, what is it with these a-holes!!

Well Dermot Gallagher has been demoted because of his in-action!

Does this just mean he gets passed down to Championship level football? Surely if he can't cut it as a referee he will still miss the decisions in the lower divisions!

Well I think Gallagher is unlucky. don't get me wrong, it was a monumental cock up not to send off Thatcher but considering the amout of **** ups I see from the likes of Poll and Styles week in week out, Premiership games would end up being reffed by managers with subs running the lines.

I thought Stuart Pearce handled the situation really well.
After all he was a hardman but he did not condone that.
Despite it being a terrible 'assault' it takes balls to go against one of your own and Pearce stood up to be counted..

I know people will say how could he say anything different but people like Wenger and Fergie would probably have said that 'They didn't see it..'

Agree. Pearce may have been nicknamed Psycho, but you could never imagine him doing anything like that, could you? Hard as nails, but always honest.

I thought Michael Browns challenge was worse than Thatchers.

Brown, Thatcher and Todd are 3 players who shouldn't be allowed near a football pitch. All three are just thugs.

Brown certainly looked like his sole intention was breaking Gigg's leg. Can't believe he isn't getting the same amount of attention as Thatcher.
