Personally I'd like to see Pim get a chance under UR, he seems to be getting a regular game at Rochdale and wonder how he's doing.

Only if he is better than what we have. On his last couple of showings he needs to be offloaded imo, not sure what is form is like now.

What system did Greavsie play to? He was a goal-poacher - the fastest man on the field over two yards! And Shearer's method was "pass the ball to me and I'll do the rest".

And do I gather that a way of playing should be dismissed - simply because it's old? It's a way the fans love, the players appreciate, and was successful? Why change it just because it's not modern?

I think Leon is deceptively quick as he has shown on a number of occasions with last ditch tackles after turning to chase down a striker. What worries me about Osborne is that he gets bullied too easily and tends to get the wrong side of the striker. For some reason he has gone backwards form wise and I don't know why. I expect him to play alongside Llera vs Scunny though.

I wouldn't disagree with this at all.

Llera is cover for Legge, I doubt that he's considered that fantastic that we'd keep him after Legge's return unless one of the other two get injured. Pim's on loan until January by which time he may have played himself back into being our 4th choice CB.

So without Llera, who will play it out from the back ? Uwe has made enough noises to make it clear that this is what he wants. He criticised Lee for kicking too many long balls on saturday. Uwe is trying to get us up a level and we need this type of player not the usual run of the mill average League 1 centre back.

The fact that Pim is on loan Rochdale while we have another centre-half on loan from another club indicates to me we'll be getting rid as soon as we can.

I could be wrong but when Pim went out on loan Legge wasn't injured and Llera was only brought in subsequent to that, also I don't think we had a re-call clause in the loan agreement.

You could well be right but as noted I personally hope that he comes back and gets an opportunity.

Llera is on loan to us until 7 December; Pim is on loan to Rochdale until 18 January. I assume that end November was the estimate that Leon will be fit again, I don't believe that Llera was bought in as anything other than cover for him. Of course, Uwe can "make noises" and use his budget to extend to the loan. I'm sure that Pim is under evaluation by our coaching staff to assess his suitability to return.

Sadly, I think Eger is finding it tougher than Uwe might have thought, Uwe was probably thinking Eger and KO as the CB pairing. Uwe needs to think again! But, it's more nit picking than saying anyone is crap!

Leon isn't 'first choice', he's one of 4 centre backs that Uwe can pick from, no one is first choice. Legge was given a deal, as like a few others, it was ending. It was within budget.

It appears that Uwe wants to play out from the back .Eger can do this .Llera offers more aerial threat .But both seem susceptible to the rough and tumble of League One strikers . Osborne and Legge offer a more British beefy type of defending but Legge likes to Row Z it rather than go all Continental . Maybe what Uwe is trying to achieve isnt possible with the current crop and he should just let the defenders stick to one job ,stopping attacks and therefore stick with Legge and Osborne when fit ?

I suspect he has been offered a contract but has decided to leave on a Bosman. Not sure why we didn't sell him in the summer if that is the case. Would be annoying if he ended up going to Charlton on a free.

If this is the case, you can't blame Karleigh. If he goes for free he will probably get a signing on fee and a better contract........it's football ?

Suspect that UR wants him to stay and persuaded him that he can't lose - if we don't go up he gets a free and can negotiate a better salary and if he's part of a successful promoted side he gets an improved contract and plays at a higher level anyway.

No ,I missed most of last season and have been unable to attend this season so far. Hopefully in the near future I may be able to get back again , I should know in the next few weeks . .I just read every scrap about the club and team that I can at the moment ,but it doesnt compete with actually attending .

On the evidence so far that comment must be tongue-in-cheek. I think they are still looking somewhere on the Great West Road for his effort against Colchester!
