BFC lies

Anyone tried to ring up the Club to confirm the Roy King story?

This is the repsonse you get:

"We have been told that the statements in the Chronicle did not come from the Chairman or anyone at the Club."

Not only do they lie to the supporters - they lie to the staff too.

BFC lies

Can they explain Roger's "no comment" to PJ on the train then - or is PJ making it up too?

BFC lies or Streetboy lies? We know the club aren't going to lower themselves and come on here, where's Tim for his version?

Don't quite understand... why is that statement a lie?

Well, unless somebody phoned me back posing as Rogers, which is even more worrying, it be the truth bruv!

Interestingly, nobody from the club has called me to refute the story, or in effect, call me a liar. I await with interest...

Why not? A simple answer to a simple question. The Chairman has commented. Back in your court pal.

Because he asked? If they didn't want to tell they could have just said no comment. Instead they denied what was in the paper.

I didn't imagine for one moment that they would. Cheers for confirming you're not lying.

Yeah,to say he can't comment.

Do you not think that there might be a reason for that, perhaps legal reasons?Or maybe you would want him to tell you the whole story,so you can plaster it all over here?

No, what I'd like him to do is stop his senior management lying to supporters and staff by saying Roy is off sick. I don't think that's too much to ask.

They even stated on the OS that Roy was sick. Maybe you will agree with me on this.

At the Training Ground this morning (Bloody wet and cold) it appeared to be common knowledge that our "man of the moment / rising star/ how we can get by without him" employee Roy King was on gardening leave

You can learn a lot at the training ground (Wink Wink / Nudge Nudge)

And I might add that the whole squad had a great days training - Plenty of banter and the togetherness of the squad is obvious - Even when Sodje got pole axed by a shot from Tabb ?? that clocked him direct.

Credit me with at least a shred of integrity mate. I admit I make honest mistakes sometimes, but would not just make it up as I go along. Especially something of this gravity

I genuinely wasn't suggesting that you were. Sorry if you read it that way as it wasn't how it was intended.

I know nothing about anything but anyone who's followed a recent whisper and got on the "floodlights going out after 15 minutes of the Yeovil home game kicking-off" bet would be well advised to lay the bloody thing off PDQ :sorted:

I know little about Mr King and his previous employment history ChinaBee but with regards to the script at the bottom of your post, despite supporting the Bees for 40 years I was unable to secure a ticket for Southampton so I saw the game at Griffin Park on the large satellite screen - therefore, I am where I was on that particular day when the Bees play, great result/fightback but crikey did it hurt.

You obviously need to run the tombola for my local cricket club. Tickets assured for all games!

Rogers shouldn't have blabbed to the Chronicle, but of course the club isn't going to say anything officially while an investigation is underway and the "off-sick" story is standard fare in these cases. To say anyhting else might prejudice the club's position and after all the almighty cock-ups over employment terminations at Brentford in the last few years, I am surprised that people are urging the club to get it wrong again.

I agree with what you say Ed, it is totally unprofessional to leak this to the Press and may well prejudice any potential action. If enough rumour and innuendo gets into the public domain, they'll screw any chance of litigation and then have to pay the bloke off to buy his silence, erm I mean prevent him for sueing for defamation or something similar. Which is probably what they need to do to stop him dishing any dirt he may have on the rest of the inhabitants of Animal Farm but need a justification to do so. I think I've got the hang of this, I'm now happy to let my name go forward to take up DW's position on the Board!!!
