Thought the QPArse were gonna go for him...?

Big Les

reading and southampton were reported on sky news last week as being possible desinations, so i'd guess he was out of our league...

Big Les

thread on Beesotted said hes likely to go to Reading .Im not sure about this one ,I thought Clarridge was a good idea before I saw him play for us

Nice idea Martin, but we would have been a bit top heavy with strikers if he'd joined (albeit ones that don't score goals). We could still definitely do with a creative midfielder though.....

MA is desperate for a goalscorer, premiership/Championship loan players wages are too expensive and he cant buy anyone so his hands are tied. :(

Not really what we would have needed, despite him being a better target man than Claridge and May put together

Bumped into MA wandering around Bournemouth before the game and he said he was still after an out and out goal poacher - the only thing was, so is nearly everyone else.

Interesting discussions in my local last night about the signing of Les F. The die-hard Pikey Town supporters are talking it up, but those who were using the family brain cell for the evening agree that a 38-year old aint quite what they need. They reckon he will provide knock-downs for Kitson, but when i told them how out of touch Claridge looked for us, there were certainly frowns. Hee hee!! :D

Silly signing by Reading imho but perhaps they might let Mr Owusu out on loan now ?

Big Les

I wouldn't have thought Reading would let go of Owusu just yet - Ginger Kitson is out for 2 months with ligament damage.

Most of us talked up Claridge, me included. We can't afford Les and we shouldn't be interested.

As reported on another thread, someone needs to take the cheque book up to Gretna and start waving poonds about, the noo.
Top lower league Scottish striker will come to the Big Smoke for a fiver and a bag of sweeties :sorted: ...or a deep-fried Mars bar
