Thorne in the Side Issue 59 hits the streets on Saturday for the home game against Shrewsbury.

With lots to talk about, including an Exclusive backstage interview with Bees fan and Hard Fi front man Richard Archer, an Exclusive interview with Andy Scott, a supporter survey on 'change around Griffin Park', and an investigation into a Grifffin Park charity blunder in regards to famine aid since the appointment of one of the coaching team..this issue is the biggest for seasons.

On sale from all usual points including 'The Griffin' for £2.

Thorne in the Side Fanzine has raised almost £12,000 since formation for Brentford FC good causes.. Thanks for your continued support.

Bees52 bomber - So you to were an Ivy Shop, Richmond attendee !

I still have the last pair of Oxblood Plain Caps I purchased from there - Could not throw them out - Aint worn em in some 25 odd years and they will probably be a tight now.

The Stay Prest and Ben Sherman Shirts went long ago when the spread of age took effect.

This brings back memories. Classic shop. Used to know one of a set of brothers that worked there.

Any new clothes from the Ivy were usually aired for their debut at the Castle. Long since knocked down, but never forgotten.

I too have a pair of loafers from there. Soled & heeled several times over the years (30?), but the tassles havn't lasted the distance.

At least you can still buy these relatively easily in the states, Paul?

Did Steve Marsella cause the famine?

Bought it for the first time today......i was very happy with it, both interesting and funny.

However, as quarter chinese, i didnt like the refernce to chinese people as "chinkies" in the Mansella tips part.

I willl still buy it again though!

Due to the unforseen error on the front page (where the printers forgot to add the speech bubble) nine prit sticks later and with both my hands stuck together last night until 1am, there was a shortage of fanzines for sale today on the Braemar side of the ground and we sold out at around 2.50pm...

Please be rest assured that the rest will be for sale before the Accrington game next Saturday at both the Breamar Road side and New Road before and after the match...

Glad those who have commented enjoyed it :sorted:

As for the 'chinky' quip - sorry if that offended...

One of the best reads ever from the TITS boys, I reckon. Well done.

I wondered if under the sticker, Butcher's scarf read "Scotland till I die"?

I thought that the cover was some kind of scratch card game going on. I peeled all the layers off until all I was left with was a big hole but no prize. :(
