Black Managers
Do they get an equal shake? If not, what is to be done?

don't care. wish people would stop banging on about it. most english football fans wouldn't care if their manager was green with yellow polka-dots as long as he got the job done
maybe they could take their lead off the music industry? at the end of the season, have an awards ceremony for everyone, and then one just for the "Managers of Black Origin"![]()
Tigana was there 5 years before Ince![]()

'So it's even more of a non-story?!' I shouted to no-one, alone in the car.![]()

he won't be the last ex-Ferguson charge that becomes a top level coach.
The media raise it constantly when it doesn't need to be. Ince is made to comment on it when he doesn't really want to.
The longer we hear the media banging on about 'first black this' and 'last black that' the longer it will be an issue.
The fact is that Ince being there is unremarkable given the route his playing career took and his personality and he won't be the last ex-Ferguson charge that becomes a top level coach.
Does it really mater what race they are? As long as they get the job done Im sure the fans will love them, I have a bad feeling about Ince about Blackburn for some reason, what about Leroy where is he now? lol
Why compare Ince with Leroy? Unless it does matter to you what colour they are?

embarrasing in this day and age

I actually wanted Leroy to do well and felt gutted at the sight of a good man who looked completely broken whereas although I wanted Butcher to do well I hated the twaat at the end of his bit. Is that a bit racist?

And we had Leroy!

John Barnes did a brief failed stint as head coach for Celtic 8 years ago and also a moody bit of rapping with New Order. Plus he likes Lucozade.

I read articles by Collymore and Leroy in a national paper the other day about how they never got a fair chance of management etc. implying it was because of their colour!!!!
Leroy, who won promotion with Torquay, said he didn't bother applying for jobs anymore. Tragic.
