Blackpool match reports

Thank god Wright was sent off. His pace was threatening everybody at the back, he was confident & wanted the ball. Tillen was skinned early on & you thought it was him, but he beat em all. I didn't see the second foul, but it was suggested that he got a straight red for that alone.
Unusually the ref let a lot go today, and apart from a couple of bizarre decisions I thought he was better than most (damning with faint praise there then).
Nelly looked secure & made a save at the end to keep us in it. Wright apart we looked OK at the back, Tillen made a couple of poor decisions and passes but otherwise impressed. Framps was immense, good defending and runs in to their area that could have got better results on another day.
I think Lewis & Pratley are too similar, Lewis lost out today working hard but to little effect, it was no surprise to see him subbed. Brooker looked out of it for most of the game, wandering from the touchline, even Lloydy gace him a b*ll*cking once. Tab worked hard but nothing seemed to run for him.
Up front Rankin worked hard, despite what others think, and athough hardly getting a chance was our main threat. His one chance wouldn't fall for him. Lloydy looked a bit lost, his headers were either too slight or too firm, his control wasn't good enough and he had the better chances to score but didn't seem either confident or capable enough. We know he can be good enough but somethings not right. When Fitz came on he made a big difference and maybe if he'd been on from the start the result would have been different.
In the end Blackpool worked harder than we did, could have snatched it, but then we could have walked it with a better performance. Still the wife's happy, a big bag of candy floss.

Just got back having sampled the delights of an M6 tail - back and a detour via Kendle. Must say that IMHO..we had the beating of them even when it was 11/11..all the action was on their goal...Dodgy keeper..however as the game went on I could not see how we would score.. plenty of effort..but no finish at all..Messiah hit post..Nelly pulled off a great save to save our bacon..special mention for Tabby..Turner..Tillen..Lloyd for effort..Brooker was hardly in the game..and Sodja..did not start..met Glasgow Bee...hope he got home before me...YOU REDS...

Have to agree with all your match report, Chipper. Lloyd and Isaiah seemed to have lost all understanding - Lloyd headed firmly when Rankin was running to join him and then neatly laid it off whan he was on the other side of the area. Both teams' substitutions made big differences - they attacked with more guile and we looked more dangerous with Hutch pushed forward and Fitz looking sharp. He seemed to be able to do what Lloyd does not seem able to do - sit on the defender's shoulder and stay on side, then spin off quickly.

It really says something whan Fitz shows up our other strikers!!!

At least it didnt rain, must have been around 400ish bees fans there, fairly quiet compared to normal away games dont know why.

Anyway if we think we can go up we need to beat the likes of Blackpool regardless if they have 10 or 11 men. Hardly any shots by the bees, do we ever shoot outside of the area?

Our strikers look very average, Lloydy hasnt done anything yet this season and he needs to start producing soon or else i feel. Pratley was superb in midfield today and was my MOM seemed to win everything, i do agree tho him and lewis are too similar, hopefully when Ricky is fully fit he can take over from Lewis, tillen impressed today some good crosses put over by him, still needs to put more into his defensive works but it will come.

Nelsons kicking was spot on today, only had to make 1 save all match and believe me it was top stuff.
Tabb dropped off in the 2nd half and looked whacked.

Time for a change tho, we are becoming too predictable you can name the subs we are going to make, our set pieces are slow and just lump it in the box stuff.
Maybe a recall for Gayle up front with Rankin running off him?

And someone please have a shot.....................

Just got back, a good weekend catching up with friends.

the game was poor, for the first time since Allen's arrival I thought that we were out battled.

Every through ball was either too long or not controlled, when we should have shot we didn't.

We were unlucky with a couple of headers, but with five minutes to I would have been glad of a drawer

What a crap game ... had to take the missus which didn't help my mood. Thought we started quite brightly and had the majority of the play. Tabb had looked to have beenm bought down after 20 minutes or so inside the box and lloyd got brought down right on the edge so another day we could have had a pen. Rankin took the ball around the keeper ut bizarrely turned back on to his right foot and blackpool got back to cover. Then wright who I had a feeling would get himself into trouble got booked and then didn't see the sending off but went much to the delight of the home fans. Thought tillen offers at lot more going forward than framps does but defesively he needs to wise up cause he gets tucked up far too much for a full back. Framps and turner played well however once they had a man sent off never gave us any probs bar a fine save from Nelson off Murphy's head. As someone said above pratley and lewis played very similar today a thought pratley made some fine tackles. Brooker to me is a techniquely a very good player but drifts in and out of games too easily as well as lose the ball in key areas. Tabb was one of our better players could have scored when fitz put a decent cross over (i know but was actually very good when he came on) but defender just got there before him. I thought another day we could have had the run of the ball more in our favour as we seemed to get behind them a lot only for a last ditch tackle etc. Owusu really annoyed me when through on goal and fired over not forcing a save from the keeper. Highlight has to be when tillen was just about to take a throw in in front of us and he shouted to Owusu move then you F**£ing P&*^k.

Very Very Frustrating not to have won the game

I am confused by the opening sentence of this post. I had thought that Blackpool had the former Bees loan player Tommy Wright playing for them.... :D
