Do you carry a walking stick and a lightsabre, by any chance?
No one has mentioned:
Block Brooks McAdams Dick McLeod
If I remember rightly (almost impossible at my age) four of them scored double figures in goals in the Fourth Division promotion season.
I seem to remember Holdsworth steaming down the wing and crossing to John O'Mara who scored with aplomb.
Not sure if I'm mixing era's or not but I do believe that no thread of Brentford strikers should exist without a mention of Big John so at least I've fixed that.![]()
At the risk of a whoosh. Seriously? 20 years apart.
Your right, it was Stewart Houston I was thinking of. ?

Going back to 1983 the front line of Joseph...Cassells... and Bowles . They were really capable of digging us out of a tight hole.
Robert Taylor probably one of Brentford’s best strikers in the last 30 years. Great finisher and was strong as an ox.
Agreed......but that miss at Huddersfield in front of goal in the POffs though............

Excuse me, haven't you missed my favourite ever player, Gary Roberts? Stanley played behind them.
Erm. Houston and O'Mara are a similar vintage. Deano was 20 years later. Or was that what you meant?

Indeed:PERFECT!
PERFECT!
Today’s game was one in which we didn’t play that well .

I thought we were outstanding first half and had won the game by half time![]()
I wouldn’t say we were ‘outstanding’ first half..

I wouldn’t say we were ‘outstanding’ first half. We have played better this season. They just can’t defend, and BMW enjoyed themselves.
