I have acknowledged the injury list. I am not talking about tonights result. I am not comparing our squad or Manager from last year with this year except when you pushed the point on Dallas and Douglas. They are all gone and we have assembled a squad for this season and if they were all fit today I do not believe we would finish Top 6 because we are too weak, too slow and too deliberate.

So I take it from all your foul whining in the last few months that you consider us finishing anywhere below the Play-offs as a failure?

Well it would be no Jota - Josh equates to Pritchard so no Pritch and Bjelland would be either Harlee or Tarky. Hogan out either way. I think you could say we would have struggled.

An interesting question. Let's assume Douglas, Jota , Pritchard, Odubaju and Tarkowski were missing from last season's 4-0 defeat. Our squad was;

D Button, A McCormack, J Tarkowski,H Dean, J Bidwell, A Pritchard, J Douglas, A Judge, M Odubajo , Jota , A Gray
Subs: M Moore, T Craig, Betinho, J Bonham, Tebar, Proschwitz, Toral

We probably would have had

Button, McCormack, Craig, Dean, Bidwell, Tebar, Toumani, Toral, Gray, Moore, Judge
Subs would likely have been Bonham, Betinho, Proschwitz and then pick your last 4 from the dev squad.

I don't see that team improving on last year's 4-0 defeat.

Lost all phone and Internet signals last night so only saw the score line on TV. However boring got that I am I then wrote down who I expected to be posting their depressing drivel......was not disappointed !!!!!

Glad to see reports say we played well and should have made it a closer score line. Whilst where we are is not good with 3 home games ahead hopefully things will look brighter by the beginning of Octiber, no doubt if we win the threads will be shorter ???!!!!

Some daft comments on here but nothing new as poor results bring out the usual suspects with their own agendas. What is frightening is that there are some posters who will claim that to be massive supporters but deep down would prefer us to do badly to validate their own opinions/ agendas and enable them to return and say " I told you so"

I guess we should actually feel sorry for them

I meant our financial circumstances. I have no idea what Mike Williamson is earning - £25-30k p/w I imagine but I wouldn't want him here as he's not as good as what we've got IMO. I don't think we need Kelly either tbh. I thought you said our problems were in midfield ?

Hold on, what was Tarks and Dean goals against record last season and what is it this season? Maybe one division is too high for Williamson by one division and maybe Tarks IS actually a centre midfielder as that is what he is listed as on the OS? Not to mention the fact that we bought Bjelland in to replace one of the two that you believe are better than a premiership player with 150 Premiership appearances. I will say it again, I don't believe you. Night

Quite frankly ROB, I couldn't care less whether you believe me or not. I think Williamson is crap and would do nothing to improve our defense. Ensuring there's adequate protection in front of them is what I think we should be concentrating on, an area which I'm not sure we've got quite right yet this season.
