The situation looks grim for the new boys, and it looks as though Dagenham will replace them instead:

(Halifax with no money, no manager and no players cannot be reinstated to the league, and the powers that be in Div 3 won't allow the clubs to miss out on extra home game given the current financial situation, so the promotion of Dagenham is surely the only option IMHO).

I heard some stalwart Boston fans on the radio the other day arguing that they should stay in Div 3 whatever, but if the wrong-doings are proved, surely the league have no option but to throw them out?

What does anyone else think? I'm particular interested in the thoughts of Boston fans.

Are you angry at the directors of the club?
How would they justify their club staying in the league if the allegations are prove correct?
And what EXACTLY did the club think they were doing when they allegedly did what they did?

My understanding is that this forum is for ad hoc browsers who aren't nessacarily Bees fans, but would like to discuss footballing matters without having to register.

Now if I'm wrong, then I apologise. But if I am wrong you have to question why this particular forum exists when there are so many other forums reserved for people to talk about Brentford FC.

In fairness the thread should probably have been in 'Football World' but you're right it's time for the FL to stop fannying about and either admit Boston or Dagenham.

At the same time they have to do something about the Bradford City situation. Although the 'released' players turned up for pre-season training yesterday they only have five professionals on their books, what is going on?

Interestingly the european FA's are not slow to relegate teams for financial irregularities (can't remember at the moment the name of the French team who have just been sent down by two divisions)

Interesting possiblities. If Bradford are thrown out of the league, Crewe would presumably stay up. That will leave a 'gap' in division two, presumably to be filled by Rushden and Diamonds as losing play-off finalists.

Who then replaces them in divsion three, if Dagenham have already taken the place of a 'discredited' Boston United?

Funny old game!

I'll stick to supporting Monaco when in France

Nice were promoted to the Division 1 in France in the most dramatic fashion (last game etc., etc.,) but now find themselves in Div. 3 - I prefer the Monaco kit and stadium anyway !
