Bottle throwing.

Was anyone arrested for yesterday's bottle throwing? More importantly,is the Brook Road terrace likely to be closed?

:mad2: :mad2: :mad2: :mad2: :mad2: :mad2: :mad2: :mad2:

Come on you Bees.

Bottle throwing.

Get some decent referees at Griffin Park, and one day the bottle throwing may stop.

Not that i'm condoning it.

Bottle throwing.

More to the point, why make an issue of it?

I agree that it's not good for the club but last month a QPR fan buzzed a bottle into the Brentford end and no-one said a word - why start bleating now?

Bottle throwing.

You beat me to it

Ed if someone wanted to sneak a bottle in from the drinks bar it's not to hard.

Bottle throwing.

How did it get in??? Maybe they will search everyone now coming in. The ref probably deserved it :D This stuff happens, it normally blows over.

Eventually then if it carries on we might get our license revoked:confused:

i dont even know why you've started a thread on this as its hardly important in the big scheme of things is it??:nono:  :mad2:

some people should have been around 25 years ago - then it would have been glass and hit that c£$t of a referee(not that i'm condoning that sort of behaviour:D )

cant wait till 1pm:)

I think some people, who don't buy beer in the ground, don't actually realise the bottles are plastic rather than glass.

Bottle throwing.

oh... plastic bottles are ok to throw! didn't know that :(

Bottle throwing.

I was very dissapointed that the bottle still had some beer in it. Such a waste.:D

Bottle throwing.

It was Ron Noades who threw the bottle

:nono:

Bottle throwing.

I think a 15 year old kid was arrested, not a great way to start the year. Cue this wouldn't have happened in my day, kids today don't know the difference between right and wrong, clip round the ear only language they understand.... probably all true

Bottle throwing.

It is good to see that someone was arrested for it.

I'm suprised, with the quality of the reffing that it was only the one bottle that got lobbed at him, the bloke was a grade 1 tw4t.

Our excellent stewards were quick to react. The nearest steward looked blankly at Idiot Boy Ref when he handed her the bottle as if to say, stick it in the bin yourself.

TW8, The Home of Real Football, 5hite Refs and 5hite Stewards!

Bottle throwing.

I'm sorry but regardless of whether the bottle was plastic or not, or that the ref was a total w*nker - it is totally unacceptable for people to be throwing objects of any kind onto the pitch:nono: Who the hell does the tw*t who threw it think they are? Every Bees fan in the ground was aggravated by some of the decisions that referee made but managed to control themselves. If these incidents continue to happen and the Brook Road Terrace is closed we'll soon start making an issue of it. Let's get it stopped now.

End of Rant:wave:

Bottle throwing.

Whilst I agree that bottle-throwing itself, pales into insignificance comapred to many other things, unfortunately, the club, nor the FA, and nor the ref take these things lightly.

According to the official site, an FA observer was in attendance, and the ref will include the incident in his report. If this leads to restrictions imposed on us, then whose fault is that? The ref's?

Bottle throwing.

Yet further segregation? We will have a capacity of about 5,000 soon.

Typical. So we're going to get disciplinary action for a lump of flexible plastic being lobbed onto the pitch. Will the referee's inept performance be mentioned by the FA observer in his feedback? I bet not.

Aside from the ineptitude of the referee, we know that the FA take bottle-throwing as seriously as nuclear war being declared. If the bottle had hit the ref, apart from a dive that the ref would have taken to the floor, some journalists might have felt that a match report highlighting the incident might have been more appropriate. Such publicity is not wanted.

Bottle throwing.

How come the bottle-throwing so what attitude?
If the FA decided to close the Brook Road end because of it, and that could be an option, what effect would that have on atmosphere and team performance?
It has been acknowledged many times now just how the change of the Wendy House to the home end has affected things.
Time for these 'kids' to grow up, there is no defence for lobbing stuff onto the pitch whatsoever.

Bottle throwing.

I'll say it again, time to 'corral' the kids into a 'kids section.

Bottle throwing.

I go along with that too. The turnaround in form at home could be attributed to having our home end back. The referee was an absolute fool but we won the game despite of this and collected a nice cheque for doing so and a potential money spinning 4th round tie. If the bottle had hit him, we would have lost most of this money in fines along with potentially having the Brook Road shut.

If the guy who threw it was arrested - fantastic. Equally that moron who got himself into trouble with the stewards and OB after refusing to leave the pitch at the end. I hope he was arrested as well and will think about his actions next time.

Appreciate this makes me sound like an old git but I can't be arsed with these muppets who are giving BFC a bad name. The more they play up, the more stewards and OB are required at each home game and this means more money draining out of the club. We need the support but we don't need wannabe thugs in Burberry caps causing trouble. GROW UP !:mad::mad:

Bottle throwing.

£1000 fine isnt it if you get caught on the pitch? plus life ban from at least that ground if not all?

Bottle throwing.

that can easily be defeated by feeding the crocs brentford burgers during the match, causing them a swift death and leaving the fools to get on the pitch anyway.

Bottle throwing.

A 15 year old wouldn't get a fine. They'd get a slap wrist and 3 weeks in Disney land.

The Referee Assessor in the game was none other than Philip Don the Don of Premiership Referees. So the main man saw the performance for himself. Expect a new name to be added to the Premier League list shortly.

Good, they're welcome to him, then perhaps the pillock won't be back at GP for a while. I know it isn't an easy job, but consistency is all I ask. He missed blatent fouls from both teams and our handball in the second half.

Bottle throwing.

Hand ball.........never:angel2: the ball hit a divot and bounced at an awkward angle just as one of our guys was running to get away from it.

Two blant elbows in the eyes in the second half:mad: followed by a wagging of the elbow at a Derby player minutes later. Not good

The mans incompetance new no bounderies.

Bottle throwing.

King Bee: "I think a 15 year old kid was arrested".

A 15 year old was arrested in relation to encroaching onto the pitch. But more importantly, nobody has been arrested in relation to the bottle throwing incident.

Bottle throwing.

Its time to shut the bar in Brooke Road.

If the idiot Goldrange numpties can't stop ****s smuggling bottles through and then chucking them on the pitch then their supply will have to be cut off.

lol

I for one would be more than happy to be able to have a whazz without fighting my way through beer swilling fools blocking the bogs.

Whats wrong with just having Bovril and Balti pies?

;)

Bottle throwing.

****,
a) Just cos we drink some beer why are we fools
b) Why should a good source of revenue for the club end cos some absolute ****er, concentrate on catching them, not punishing the innocents
c) As has already been pointed out, even though we all know Gold Range are ponies, if someone wants to smuggle a bottle back into the Brooky they will

I think that if it's not bottles, it'd be coins, etc, etc. The fact is that it's not clever throwing something onto the pitch. It's illegal, the club can suffer because of it, and the fans could suffer for it too. Two incidents in one season, as we all know, hardly constitutes Brentford fans being tarnished with a reputation for hooliganism, and I'm sure that this happens at clubs up and down the country. However, this matters not. The club cannot afford fines being imposed, and in the worst scenario, the closure of the Brook Road, whilst unlikely, would constitute a loss of revenue, and atmosphere.
Whilst people can make mistakes, and do it in the heat of the moment, I would urge anyone who sees people throwing objects onto the pitch, to hae a quiet word in said person's earhole.

Bottle throwing.

If the profit from the beer is less than a fine, then it makes sense to stop selling beer in that area.

If selling beer brings in more cash than a fine, keep selling it.

In the meantime, perhaps our stupid stewards should start doing the job that they are paid to. I walked up to my seat and my ticket wasn't even checked.

Thats how good they are.

Bottle throwing.

It was bad enough when they closed B Block of New Road a few years back but to close a whole stand would be unbelievable.

Also who were the little gimps who ran on the pitch at the end of the game, andybody notice no stewards lined up in front of the terrace ???

GOLDRANGE STEWARDS **** **** ****

Gaz, that will never happen mate.... well not over the odd bottle being thrown anyway... as we do not have a hooligan problem at Brentford people tend to get a bit carried away when something like this happens ;)

Bottle throwing.

Cant think why anybody would want to drink warm Carlsberg out a plastic bottle when they could wait an hour and get a decent pint anyway???
The thing to remember is, yeah violence may have been a great laugh in the 70s blah blah etc, but it wont be so funny if they close down Brook Road and we have to spend our Saturday afternoons being constanly told to sit down by New Road gimp stewards.

Bottle throwing.

Maybe the reasoning behind taking the tops of the bottles is justified here.

Seems to me the obvious course of action here is for the club to stop selling beer in bottles in the Brook Rd. Just insist it is poured into a plastic gass. I know it's not trendy to drink out of a "vessel" other than a bottle but tough luck. I'd like to see somebody smuggle a plastic glass of beer into the stand and if they did would they have the stupidity to throw it.

Just one other small point. Why in the bar at the back of the Braemar stand is there a sign up saying children are not allowed in the bar. Just asked because on saturday I saw a guy go in there with his two young kids and a steward came and hauled them out and made them stand outside while Dad bought the coffee and sweets etc.

Seeing as there are open air bars all over the ground surrounded by kids this seems to be yet another example of the law being an ass. Or is it just the clubs over exuberant interpretation of the law. I dont remember there being any law about under 18s not being allowed into an off license so why does it apply to this bar. (certainly doesnt apply to Stripes does it!!) Double standards.

The people on the pitch were all 16 or under, was it one of them who threw the bottle??

Actually CJC atleast two of them were 17+, and it wasnt any of them who threw the bottle.

Bottle throwing.

Since you seem to know them, do you know why they thought it would be a good idea to ignore all warnings, and the law, and run on the pitch?
