Bournemouth away support

Good on the many Bournemouth fans for supporting their team.

It was, after all a nothing game and they certainly had a good following - more money in the old coffers.

Sitting on the train to Clapham, I sat behind a group of Cherries fans, who, even though they lost had a most enjoyable afternoon and were quite surprised at the cauldron of noise coming not just from one side of the ground, but from all three sides.

Were amazed that the ref didn't spot the handball near the end but didn't hold any grudges, figured we derserved a bit of luck.

yes.... that was a rather obviously handball - lucky we were at home and the ref bottled it. Obviously there will be those tha say the ref had a wonderful game but bottling that decision means he was one of the worst(from a impertial point-of-view of course!)

I did meet a couple of em on the way back and they did shake my hand and say well done! I think the taunting was a bit much some of em seemed to clap us and stayed to see the lap of honour! by then their "firm" gone.

Also taunting creates horse's on the pitch and the streets and I do not Like Horse Sh*t in my motor

Liked the couple of B'mouth players that tried to get in to Stripes after. When they were told that the players bar was back up by the dressing room, they replied, "there's no alcohol in there".lol

One of my customers is a Bournemouth fan and we went for a drink after the game he and his mates were so glad that we stayed.Playing them is almost like a local derby.

yeah, i agree, all really sporting people.
after the match, when we were waiting for our players to come out, i saw the bournemouth players looking pretty miserable, so i went over to them and congratulated them on giving us a good game, told them they played well, and that i looked forward to meeting them again next season. that made 'em smile.

apparently on the trains back to london there was a lot of singing going on between both sets of fans. its nice to see some friendly banter.

i don't know what the beach ball thing was about (more then likely some kind of dig at us) but it did amuse me greatley all the same. a bit like celtic v rangers only with a lot less beach balls and supporters, but nethertheless a friendly derby match, and always welcome in my book

Judging on our last couple of games, we thought we might get bored so brought some toys to play with
