It's very difficult to tell from a confusing Twitter feed but it does seem that our B's have some clinical finishing.

It was a really good game. I only went along because I'm quite close, in Suffolk this week. And £3 admission too!

I've no idea what they were up to with the starting line-up but it was Shepperd, Titov, C.Dasilva, O'Connor, Mitchell, Onen, Coote, Jensen (Christian Tue, not Mathias), Trialist, Mogensen, Shaibu

The trialist also played wide right in the Bedfont game.

I thought there were some excellent performances but the stand out player for me was Jonny Mitchell at the back. I reckon he could be the next one to make it through. He's strong, composed, wins tackles and headers and has good distribution. Very, very impressive.

Kane O'Connor's decent as well. Not quite as composed as Mitchell but he knows how to win a challenge and likes the long pass as well. The other new one was Christian Tue Jensen. He's clearly very talented but he's lightweight too. Dead easy to knock off the ball but I guess that why Midtjylland sent him here, to give him the more physical test.

I was also really impressed with Titov and Onen. I've never really seen a lot to impress me with Titov but he was excellent and seems to have discovered some real presence. He won a lot of balls and played some lovely stuff going forward. Onen looked strong in the defensive midfield role too.

Mogensen is raw and naive but I reckon there's real potential in him. Another season and more muscle, he could be one to keep an eye on.

Unfortunately the same can't be said for Joe Hardy. He came on at half time and offered nothing. He's a goalscorer for sure but brings virtually nothing else to the party.

A real disappointment was Shaibu. He just isn't good enough. He's a Mark McCammon in that he looks the part, great physique for a striker but no presence at all. I think he's destined for lower Conference level.

I don't know who the second half trialists were but two of them made a great impression. A defensive midfielder (No 4) who looked a bit older than some of the others and was very good and a right-side attacker (15, I think) who moved like a greyhound and seemed to have the ball glued to his foot at times. He whipped in a fantastic cross for the fourth goal, scored by Brissett.

Considering how young they are without those who are currently with the first team, there's some real talent in that group.

I forgot to add that we seem very fortunate to have some excellent young keepers. Both Shepperd and Andersson look ultra-confident and of a really high standard.

Thanks for this report, really insightful. I agree that Shaibu looks miles off but good to hear that others are starting to close the gap: maybe the B team is working ....

Thanks for that! Given we had a few out injured and with the first team squad it's v promising indeed.. Will be interesting to see if any of the trialists get contracts, certainly there seem to be one or two who've been around for a bit..

There was only one, a very young-looking right winger who also played at Bedfont so I guess they're looking closely at him. He was okay - leggy and pacy. Worked hard.

No and I didn't realise we had even played them. Like a lot of others I don't spend time trawling through previous unread pages and have never been able to use the BFC official site which to me is very non intuitive. Can't even find the starting team on it on match days.
