Brentford Flags

As supporters we seam to have a large number of quality flags. A lot of whic have been spotted on official duty with England.

Whilst going to work the other day, there was a house in COLDHARBOUR LANE, HAYES which displayed a number of St Georges, the biggest was emblazonned with BRENTFORD FC - Hayes Bees. The house proudly also flew a "Club shop" Brentford flag and the car sported a couple of the "Club Shop Brentford car flags".

There is usually another Brentford flag, in drapped across a balcony on the RUISLIP ROAD, NORTHOLT.

Definitely not a Jersey flag. It's part of the Royal Standard. It's done several tours of duty now and should be in Germany now.

How about making our big European game - Swansea away - a flag day. As many Bees St.Georges as possible !!!

That Bees "Jersey Flag" was on the half way line in Gelsenkirchen at the 2004 Euro Final when Porto won the trophy !

Brentford Flags

I've just got back from Frankfurt. Brentford fans and flags were well in evidence although I didn't see any in the ground. Loads of Blackpool flags though !!

I was sitting quite near the players birds. A pleasant enough distraction in the 2nd half

Saw that at the last World Cup. It goes back to at least Medieval times, when lions were like dragons in the north European psyche, almost creatures of myth. If you look at the early representations of the lions on this heraldry they look more like three giant ferrets. The ferret would have been the more familiar predator to the English of that day. It's a lot more inspiring than the Georges Cross which was originally the emblem of the Knights Templar.
Has anybody seen an Accrington Stanley flag yet?

Anyone getting a flag made for Wembley? Im thinking about it. Quite pricey but can look great. Anyone got any advice/suggests on what to get/where to get it from? Obvious choice is Barmyflags.co.uk which seem pretty decent but wondered whether there are any other companies out there. Liverpool have some great ones. See the vid below:

I would suggest everything is brought from the Club Shop  :supporttheclub:

:imwith:

bought not bRought. i hate that!!!! like OPPS instead of OOPS.

do the clubshop sell such flags then? the money from the clubshop goes straight to QPR anyway. Keith Loring agreed it.

:imwith:

apology accepted.

my mate (another former gpger!!!!!!) has just informed me there is a maximum size on flags to be taken into Wembley Stadium which might be worth looking into if you are gonna buy one. i will have to cut mine into quarters and re-assemble it inside the ground.

:owusu:

Brentford Flags

Don't worry if our flags are too big.
Bring them anyway for the post match celebrations in Ealing Broadway after the game.
Then we can head off to Brentford later and hang our flags with pride !!!!

Guidance for use of flags at Wembley Stadium

Wembley Stadium upholds the highest standards of Health and Safety. The following guidance is in line with the stadium’s grounds regulations.

- We know that many supporters like to display flags at football matches and Wembley Stadium will always be as accommodating as possible.
- Flags are not generally confiscated, however the obstruction of gangways, access routes, exits and entrances, health and safety signage and stairways is strictly forbidden.
- In the event of an emergency we must have all access and exit points clear.
- Wembley Stadium reserves the right to confiscate flags if they are very large or may compromise public safety, obscure someone’s view, a camera position or if a flag carries offensive, discriminatory or inflammatory messaging.
- Flags more than 250cm in size at their widest or longest section will not be allowed and flagpoles greater than 1m in length will not allowed.
- Any articles that could potentially be used as a weapon and/or compromise public safety are strictly prohibited.
- Permission must be sought in advance from the stadium and event owner to arrange use of the very large supporter flags that are designed to be passed over people's heads. In such cases the flag must be flame retardant and the organiser bringing the flag into the stadium will need to provide the appropriate H&S certification.

Entry to the Ground shall constitute acceptance of the Ground Regulations.
