Help needed chaps, if I get away from work I'll drive down, any suggestions on where to park if anywhere.
Do I park in a multi story in Brighton and then get a cab or train, any recommendations gratefully received.

Brighton

Don't drive. Parking in Brighton is extortionate and limited. Let the train take the strain. That said there is a park and ride system in operation for all BHA games check their website.

free parking is non existent for at least 3 miles (I know, I did it last season lol)...best get the park and ride just as you leave the a23 on the right near the petrol station/rbout/train bridge as you come into brighton if you haven't got much time...its part of the ticket price and no worse than any other option.......all options are pretty bad to be fair lol

Brighton

I drove to Lewes and parked by Lewes football ground last year. £5-00 but probably free after 17-00 on a Friday. Train ticket is included with match ticket from Lewes to Falmer.(about 10mins)

Brighton

As before, I will drive to Shoreham-by-Sea and park in the station car park, or nearby if I can find a spot; free train ride from there, together with all the B&HA fans!

Park down the Avenue (for free) in Beavendean and either get the 25 or 28 bus (takes 10 mins) or get the train from Moulescoomb station behind the Brighton Uni campus. About 2 stops.

Definitely park in Lewes - it'll be pretty easy, and probably free after 5. You can then get the train to the Amex for free as part of your match ticket.

Are you meeting under the clock........lol.........also sounds like a bit of voyeurism with all those couple's about.....lol.........enjoy mate.....see you at Rovrum next.

Brighton

If anyone gets desperate, there is free parking in the residential streets about a 10 minute walk from the Mill Road (A23) park and ride, you'll easily find a spot. If really desperate my drive will have room ?

There is parking by the ibis hotel, which is a couple of hundred yards from the station, match ticket covers the train. That's prob best or it's sit in the gridlock getting out of the stadium.

Brighton

hoping to be down there by 4.

Any rendezvous points before kick off ?

Driving via Lewes. One of my favourite towns. Plenty of top quality pubs

https://www.harveys.org.uk/pubs/john-harvey-tavern/ The Harveys tap next to the brewery
http://thesnowdropinn.com/wordpress/ Unofficial tap bar for Burning Sky brewery. Loads of craft keg beers if you're into that
http://www.brewersarmslewes.co.uk/ Solid High St option

Car parks are well sign posted and reasonably priced if I can remember, probably free after 6pm

I'm a big fan of Lewes too - here's another top Lewes pub http://www.lewesarms.co.uk/

Sorry mate, people in the boxes are those who are unable to play for the club so only right that currently we have the Gray box which has an open door so you can't miss it and Tarkowski room which is bigger so you can bring your Mum as well.

I understand there is a Judge box but it's getting more expensive by the day.

I also would like to know of a bees watering hole that we can take over fairly close to station ;)

Evening Star near Brighton station is one of the best real ale pubs in the country. If you like that sort of thing.

I ordered a Jameson and coke in there not so long ago and when I got back to my table, found that the coke they had used was flat as a witches tit. When I went back up to the bar and explained why I wanted it changing, the barmaid tutted and then turned round and poured me another out of the same 3/4 empty bottle of Coke she had used with the first one.Suffice to say I haven't been back since.

Try The Prince Albert on the underpass by the station instead.

Drive to Lewes Station and park in the station car park - £6.

Then train to Falmer (5 mins - 1 stop) - train fare included in the ticket.

Sorted!

Brighton

I THINK you may find parking free at the car park next to Lewes FC after 5, unless they charge on match days. It's 'pay and display' so if you do have to pay it's probably a bit cheaper than the Stn car park. Five minute walk to the station.

I said it was the best Real Ale pub not the best Whiskey and Coke pub.

Granted, but it was more her surly attitude that annoyed me.

Still, she was fit as a butchers dog so I didn't kick up too much of a fuss.:sorted:
