Don't see the point of this one. If there is speculation fair enough but we might as we have a thread for every player - which we have anyway

It'll take a lot to persuade us to sell a player after just one year.

£30m will certainly soften the blow.

didn't he have a release clause?
Who knows, maybe a smokescreen for their interest in our other forwards.

I like Bryan and think think he's going to get even better than he already is but for £30M .........................I'd drive him there myself.

I wouldn't but it's a moot point as nobody is going to pay that. Leicester probably want to try their luck before his value really soars but that is exactly why we shouldn't sell. Also we can be fairly certain Said and Ollie will leave so Bryan's price, if he has one, will go up accordingly. Pretty relaxed about this one.

IMHO, at the moment, Bryan is the most natural Ollie Replacement that we have. Power, pace, good positioning and a decent shot on him.
He is a bit one footed though...
I wonder whether it might be easier to build a new front 3 (or other formation) than to bring in 2 and fit them around Bryan. If we get an offer around £20m plus add ons and sell ons that’s remarkable work. Even before incomings we have Canos, Fosu, Forss, Valencia, Dervisoglu, and given the right run of games, coaching and supply that’s a pretty strong set at this level.
A few months of opponents thinking “hah, they’ve sold 60+ goals worth of forwards, they’ll not be much threat” and thus deciding not to park the bus won’t hurt.

A year too soon I think.
You are right....but let them pay next year's money now
No thanks. Money isn't everything, particularly if you don't have time to spend it.
I imagine the DoFs have known and planned for 1-2 years that Watkins & Benrahma would go now and would be at peak value, if we didn't make it to the PL. Therefore, they will have planned ahead for their replacements, which we may see in the next few weeks or indeed, may already be in our books. I doubt very much whether Mbeumo's replacement is that high up the priority list yet. Like Henry, we don't have a replacement and we certainly don't need to sell.
We've already got Canos, Fosu and Valencia who can play wide. Halil and Forss down the middle, and perhaps the Toney bloke too. If the money is right he'll go imo.

The reason we didn't get promoted last season was because our results weren't good enough in the first 10 games while the new signings settled in.
The same thing happened in the 17/18 season, which I think was our second best squad in the Championship after 19/20.
No matter who we bring in as replacements, they will take time to gel. Our best chance of getting promoted is to gather the cash we need and then basically close the shutters to any further outgoings. The Championship is wide open this year, and we've got a huge chance of the top 2 if we keep this squad together as much as possible.

First of all I still cant believe we signed BM last year. Every club should have known about his stats which was pretty impressive before he joined us. It was a no-brainer to sign him and I have commented separately on his own thread the feedback I had when we signed him. I personally believe he needs that extra year with us before that big move. Then again lets see where we are this time next year. I can't see us selling him this year but the one snag I have is how he will cope without Said and Ollie. More so without Said being a fellow French speaker.

Well for starters, I think he'll receive more of the ball with Said gone!
