Bryan Robson.

Bryan Robson.

It's about time he got back into management, I think he has a lot to offer the game.

Got turned down for one of the African National Teams, but then deal was being put forward by John Fashanu, so there is no suprise it fell apart.

Bryan Robson.

Looks like we'll be getting another chance to see Evo at GP if we don't go up this year.

Bryan Robson.

you've gotta be joking JBN !!!!!!

That's the funniest post I've seen in ages ! rofl lol rofl

Bryan Robson.

He turned down Nigeria who couldn't afford his wages, so how can Bradford cope?

Bryan Robson.

for the record, it wasn't his wages Nigeria turned down, but his budget for scouting trips.

After so many years of gardening leave, he's desperate for a job, so has probably accepted whatever Bradford offered him.

I think that the scouting budget would have come out of his wages, which were apparently very high.

He must have been desperate to have wanted to go to Nigeria

Bryan Robson.

Nigeria....Bradford.....blimey what a choice !

Why don't you get a job in media Robbo? Oh, I forgot, you've no persoinality either.

Good England captain mind.

Bryan Robson.

He hasn't exactly set the world on fire as a manager, good luck to Bradford, I think they're going to need it.

Bryan Robson.

He had millions to spend at Boro and has nout at Bradford. Can't see him turning it around.

Cya next year Evo

Depends how you view it, two promotions and three cup finals for a team that had average gates of 7000 when he took over could be considered a decent record. Yes he had money to spend but many have had as much or more and done less.

Still think its the wrong appointment though and that Bradford are going down and into more financial trouble.

Bryan Robson.

He is on the Brian Little/Ian Holloway style slippery slope - downsizing from bigger clubs to much smaller unfashionable ones

Bryan Robson.

There'll be alright, after all, it's Bradford innit

:sneakoff:

Bryan Robson.

Allways look on the bright side of life is the song that Bradford now run on to the pitch Hearing

I don't think he is a bad manager, but in the same way the team that went to 2 Cup Finals should never have been relegated. It will need a big change to keep Bradford up, I'm not sure he can do it.

7000 ? was it that bad ? blimey

pisses me off about the media always banging on about the north east being so passionate and the home of football

i remember when the geordies used to get bugger all crowds in the ossie ardiles days

Bryan Robson.

He got Middlesborough relegated when one of the best strikers in the world at the time ( Ravenelli) was at his peak, supported by Juninho and Emerson.

He always had loads to spend but his complete lack of personality always won throughin the end.

They got so desperate they even hired El Tel to give him management lessons.

Looks like we'll be seeing Bradford next season

I know one swallow doesn't make a summer, but I had to gloat a little bit:D

2 nil down and winning 3-2, not a bad first result.

Bryan Robson.

Footy is all about different opinions.;)

Can't see in the article that he has been sacked, just not getting a new contract. I should imagine that several members of the squad will find themselves in the same boat in May.

You don't have to look far to see how bad financial management, high player wages and high manager wages (particulalry to one who has never managed a club before) can affect a club.

Tell us about it !

Bryan Robson.

I imagine they can't afford him as a 2nd Division Club.

He has probably failed, as despite their poor position he could have kept them up.

A broke one at that, watch them do what we did after our play off final season and jettison all their squad earning high and modest earnings including Robson.

They are in deep sh*te again financially and my guess is they will not get a second chance if they go to the brink again. They were very lucky to survive last time.

Ra Ras should take note.............

Bryan Robson.

We'll have half the Premiership slumming it in Division Two the way things are going.

Bryan Robson.

The only difference between not having your contract renewed and being sacked is........................................................money.

When Owusu and Evo left the club were they sacked?

If the money had been available, they probably would have stayed.

Bradford are £20m? in the red. If they don't renew Robbos contract in May, they can save his wages for 3 months while they look for another manager who is cheaper. He will not be the only one to go.

Even if(very big if) Robson/players manages to perform a miracle and keep Bradford up, he will still go because the club don't have the money to keep him.

Bryan Robson.

they shouldnt bother keeping him, boro were poop under him! everybody knows chesterfield won that semi final in the fa cup with that disallowed goal and to get to the worthless final in 97 was in the era of the other teams thinking it micky mouse and with gibbsons money robson should have done better!

bradford are the poor mans brentford! lucky he didnt want a job in west london really
