Now I really know why I am no longer a member.

It's taken the best part of TWO WEEKS to get to the stage of 'let's ask the members what they think'.

By this time I would have expected some 'early day feedback from investigations'.

If I were still a member I would like to be assured that the investigations are being conducted in paralell to the 'tell us what you think we should do exercise'. Otherwise any inertia will be lost and any changes will be very hard to 'sell on' and, in turn, effect.

I agree with Nigel, but also would like to say that the whole survey process doesn`t seem very customer friendly and I know trawling through all this would put many off participating.

Also how can you improve matters and still have the guilty at BFC still employed? I think also many BU members are so apathetic at moment and fed up with the whitewash that they may just cancel their SO and enjoy the on field stuff.

Whitewash, shame on our elected reps for having no backbone

But you keep telling us that you're not Nigel. So please leave it to the members who pay up for the good of the Trust and the club.

Not being a member Lawrence does not prevent me from making suggestions.

Now crawl back under the stone from whence you have emerged and read another 'how to be a journalist' book, because you and the crap you insist
on writing is really starting to b(oody annoy me.

Larry - The reason that some die hard fans left BU (myself included), is because we were sick of raising cash or offering professional time donation to BU and then seeing BFC run like the Dog & Duk pub team. One bad decision like the Soton can cost the club tens of thousands of pounds so unless the club is run by capable individuals the BU donations are just spent papering the cracks.

Also remember I was one of the very few who defended BU no matter what on the GPG and I am no longer involved anymore, we have had one BU Board member resign and three more threaten to resign, we have had two much liked and valued BFC personnell resign, we have had the gorgeous ABeeC Treasurer resign and shed loads of footsoldiers cancelling donations, so please don`t say it is for the good of the club to keep throwing the money towards BU for the good of the club.

For the good of the club, I suggest that more of the BU key players speak out publicly instead over stating so over a beer.

Ace Face,

You were a doer and not a talker and much to your credit, were personally responsible for many fans joining Bees United.

Bees united members provided the funds to keep this club from sliding into administration and evade the inevitable danger of losing Griffin Park that would have ensued.

Their efforts in keeping the club afloat over the past two years, albeit on a shoestring budget, have given us the opportunity to be in a position to challenge for promotion this season, and to be in a position to extend the capacity of the ground to accommodate bigger Championship games in the future.

It is feedback from Bees United members that has confirmed and determined the strategies to be pursued by the trust, in it’s dealings with Altonwood, to secure the future of this club

It is feedback from Bees United members that will decide the future shape and work of the trust.

The BU board is there to carry out the objectives that members dictate, nothing more.

The review is part and parcel of that ongoing process of communication with members.

It is open to members and non-members alike to present their opinions – all views are taken into account. I hope many of the posters on this messageboard will take the opportunity to get their points across.

Many people would say that it wasn't inevitable.

Can you tell the club's and BU's communication guru Larry Signy please.

Joe

Listen I like you and Brian shed loads, but and this is a big but, it is time for Brian to say in public or to BFC what we would talk about privately.

If I was chairman of BU I would be incensed by the latest BFC statement, it has no mention at all of BU or £100k director fee which BU have to pay. I am also sure that Brian didn`t know about it`s content before being published. Soon we will have more directors than front line staff,.

The Princess Royal will bomb, because the club has kept RK and JM on and instead increased the staff template which we can`t afford.

I am so mad at present, that I may just give Brian an earful to cheer me up. :D

Oh I get it now - YOU are allowed to write crap. No-one else is......

Sorry, I didn't realise.

PS: First rule in the journo's book - spell the names right.

Totally up to you guys, but I'll bet that there's loads of people who are fed up of reading the garbage that's on here sometimes.
You can keep having digs at each other, you can keep dredging up things that are totally irrelevant to the discussion, you can keep insulting each other as much as you want. It's up to you.

But, please bear in mind that most people don't want to read it and most people switch off, which may prevent them from actually knowing the facts, or reading somebody's valuable contribution. I honestly believe that this is "one" of the reasons, that prevent people from understanding what goes on. Go through all the threads and you'll see the huge amout of bickering, which prevents people from having their say.

It's entirely up to you, but despite my honestly agreeing with alot that many people have to say about the debacle at the club, it should not deter people from posting their honest opinions without being shouted down, and it should not degenerate into chidish bickering that I am thoroughly fed up of. I am not a moderator, and I cannot tell you what to do, but FFS, please give it a rest and get on with being constructive. We have a club to save.

Agree with you - have tried to stop, but (as I've told you) I can't help reacting to personal comments.

Anyway - can you please repeat your request on the 'Middle East Beano' thread?

What personal comments were you reacting too? You quoted this in your post

"If I were still a member...."

Is that the "personal comment" you can't stop reacting too? If you do have a problem, I can refer you to a self-appointed addiction expert.

Today is the last day for the completion of the survey - the background and link to which is given below. We need your views, whether you are a Bees United member or not. By taking part in this survey you have the chance to shape the way Bees United is run in future. If you want to contact the review team (Joe Bourke, John Anderson and myself) you can do so at [email protected]

If you have not taken part, please take a few minutes to do so and encourage as many Brentford supporters you know to also to complete it. Your views count!

Many thanks :sorted:

Restructuring and professionalising Brentford FC's executive management team
is an important step for future progress. It is essential that ownership and
accountability for the management of customer service and public relations
is properly gripped within the Club. The Bees United board welcomes the
action taken to date in response to the representations and
recommendations made to the club on behalf of members.

The Trust board is committed to transparency and accountability to its
members. It has therefore resolved to review the lessons to be learnt for
Bees United as a democratic organisation and to consider the way that the
Trust¹s board relates to the Club board and to its nominated directors on
the Club board.

The Bees Utd Corporate Governance Survey is designed to capture the views of
supporters and inform the BU board in the development of structures, with a
view to future contol of the club. The survey results and the
recommendations of the review team will be considered at the next BU board
meeting.

To participate in the survey, copy and paste this into your browser of

The deadline for the survey is 18 March 2005
