Watching Sky News this morning I was amazed to hear that one of the 30 odd transfers yet to be signed off by the investigating body was the DJ transfer to Birmingham.

Firstly they commented on the 9 clubs involved, but the only actual transfer mentioned was the DJ one. I wonder who will be involved in any so called wrong doings.

Wasn't the reason that the clubs weren't named that the investigators didn't want the possibly guilty parties to be alerted that they were under suspicion? In which case, what do the newspapers think they are doing? If this was a police investigation (as maybe it should be), they would be in trouble. Haven't they learned anything from the Bowyer-Woodgate trials?

The truth has just come on the BBC 1 news.

It has been revealed Martin Allen was given a golden hokey stick to let DJ Campbell soup head to the Brum.

Thus Allen was given a bung and he took it to hokey cokey land of MK Dons. HE will give them a little git of golden stick but they probably will not be promoted.

i've gotta say i thought this was a bit suss at the time :suspect:

the way i understood it, was that :dj: 's agent was hs close friend, none other than the yeading manager (duh duh duuuuh).

He then brokered a deal to birmingham for :dj:

and yeading has a sell on clause on :dj: 10% :computer:

That may be complete sh*te, but that was the way i understood things at the time :idea:

If so, that is very dodgy don't you think? Not technically a bung, but said agent and yeading manager has earned a few quid for yeading (and maybe himself) if that is the case.

I thought the press conference last week mentioned that they weren't going to name clubs but that those invovled knew who they were.

I don't think he's an official Agent more a financial advisor and close friend of DJ who may have attended meetings with DJ and a official Agent. :fishing:

The thing is, anyone can broker a deal, they just have to make sure that a licenced agent's name on the transfer form - the system is a total joke.

Having an agent who is also a manager of another club can be dodgy, but I don't think there was really a conflict of interest: DJ presumeably wanted to go to a premiership club and so did his agent albeit for different reasons, so it was in both of their interests to get a deal with Birmingham.

Does this mean the FA will declare the transfer null and void and DJ will return to us on his old contract until a proper legal transfer can be brokered at the next window.

Makes sense doesnt it??????

Agreed. Agents have to put up what I think is £500K bonding to be affiliated and some monkey can negotiate without such a bonding. Unfortunately it is what happens and it will always happen, we previously had rules that were then tightened, but someone always finds a loophole. Same occurs with tax, benefit and any system that might be in place to prevent someone sponging. :fishing:

well if you listen to the media reports they are hardly sensationalising it as they did before, in fact they have been leading with the big story that the report will say the FA compliance team ain't up to the job....

whats the problem, do a good job get a bit on the side..sort of a tip really, goes on in all walks of life.
