Apparently we bribed Steve Howard with a cuppa to get himself sent off last year

Bungs

hopefully we'll never see Newell at Griffin Park again, if he's too busy for this.

And the latest update ...

Gerry Francis says that in his day the Pope certainly did profess Catholicism and bear excreta was found in wooded areas.

Don't you think that Gerry Francis looks like a wolf?
Now I would like to hunt him down with my pack of baying hounds!

You're a very funny man Mr Lizard. Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.

In other news ...

From the woods, Mike Newell investigates the toilet habits of bears.

Pope believed to follow the Roman Catholic faith, writes Mike Newell.

Fair play to him and I hope he names names.

Even though Brentford is likely to be one of the Clubs thats suffers. You only have to look at our previous managers to see that.

Lets hope all those nasty rumours about why we didnt sign the QPR player last year are false:sorted:

....and the rumours about one of our current centre forwards too.

Newell is telling all on Tuesday night's Panorama - set you videos as it should be very interesting viewing.

Any leaks yet as to names/deals, etc. My money would be on the Curtis Davies transfer, I can't think of any other deals from Luton on that level.

Its not necessarily someone they have sold. Its about offers he has been given but not taken. I expect any deals in that instance didn't materealise. :fishing:

I was thinking more of people who didn't actually buy Davies.

'Mr Collymore says he gave Knut Auf dem Berge false information because he was suspicious of his agenda.';)

If Collymore's next action after the meeting was to report everything to the football authorities then it sounds plausible. If not, then he's the type of bloke that would beat up his girlfriend.

Apparently they are going to name and shame 6 managers. They must have hard evidence to support their claims, otherwise no doubt our licence fee will be going up next year to cover the rather large libel claims that will follow.

I have no personal knowledge of any football managers but I know two who have definate reputations for taking bungs.

Sill, tax free bonus so wouldn't we all do it if we could?

I don't know the answer - only individual concience can answer that - but I guess we all have our price!

No doubt this programme will concentrate on the upper level of football. Where managers are well paid and don't really need to put their carreers at risk, especially when a run of poor form and a decent pay off can do the trick for some quick funds. ;)
I would suggest that bungs are probably more prevalent in the lower leagues but obviously on a smaller financial scale where managers and associates are on much less income and so more likely to fancy some easy money. No doubt this won't be considered goood tv. :fishing:

I agree. This is the only good reason for overpaid footballers to stay that way as they won't be tempted to throw a game, considering a lot of them earn 10k a week upwards it's not in their interest.

Bungs

Luton Town isn't what I'd describe as the "upper level of football." We'll get a good idea whether most people agree with me on that when we see how many turn out for tonight's match.

Bungs

I thought the programme was an anti-climax. They clearly had far more evidence that they edited out of the undercover interviews. Bloody lawyers :nono:

Bungs

is it only high-profile Premiership managers that are gonna be in trouble...... i guess they won't bother with small fry lower league managers will they?....

I don't think the agents' fees in the lower leagues are high enough to have any left over for them to bung to the managers.

Bungs

Do you mean this picture?

If so, where has yellow, green and red seats?

Bungs

Any ideas why we have never sold advertising on the front panel of the roof of Braemer Road? And why hasn't the club in this picture thought about it either? :)

Bungs

Why would they have Photoshopped it? What's the point? It just doesn't look like the Braemar to me. Not even convinced by the roof.

I assume because of the content of the programme, any clubs ground shown may be tarred with the same brush.

Sad as it may seem, im sure you can see the old wooden wing section at the end.
