The figure quoted is way below what Ron told us that Rowlands was worth.

"£500,000 plus £250,000 on appearances plus 20% sell-on clause."

This doesn't sound a great deal more convincing than a teamlies story. They have put 2 and 2 together to make 5. Just because Coppell and Ternent go back a way and Rowlands is a rated player at a team which is likely to sell doesn't mean he's off up to dirty northshire.

There isn't one word in that article suggesting Burnley are about to buy Rowlands! Why even bother getting worked up about it?

cant clain to have any secret insight into burnley, but bloke i work with is a burnley fan and has been talking about this for a few months now. probably just after new year first rumours of this started, but back then it was an offer of £500k

I am gonna stick my neck out here now - i don't think we'll sell Rowlands, but I think Owusu will go. Kev O'Connor will come in his place and finish top scorer, with the Bees scraping 6th place after an excellent 15 match unbeaten run at the back end of the season!

I have just got back from a break in Ireland where I read in an Irish paper that "...Brentfords Ireland U-21 player Martin Rowlands is attracting interest from Sheffield Utd..."

Was a bit miffed I did'nt have access to the GPG to check this out at the time but I guesss the news is spreading !!!
