Calum Willock

Look, everyone has had their bit of fun but please, no more. Possibly the most unstriker-like striker I have ever had the misfortune to see. Fitz is apparantly holding out for the "right" striker. Meanwhile we have to suffer this non-entity with his poorly directed banjo.

List him and :fishing: for some mugs to take him off our hands.

Calum Willock

I like the guy and want him to do well but enough is enough. This has gone on a few months too long.

Calum Willock

If only the title of this thread were true and he was "Peterborough striker Calum Willock".

Unfortunately he is Brentford but to use the word "striker" would be a breach of the trades descriptions act.

Go away Mr Willock and take the clueless idiot John Griffin who rated you with you.

Calum Willock

the first one was poor straight at the keeper and the 2nd one prvved he has no instinct to play upfront whatsoever as he never even slightly anticipated that the cross may fly infront of him.

Calum Willock

Dreadful today. However, he's probably only the third worst striker to play for us this season after the Dutchman and the Onion Bhaji.

How about the one where he didn't even slightly anticipate Ide's cross in the 1st half? The second one in the 2nd half needed no anticipation, he was there he just balls it up. No confidence and no ability methinks.

Agreed its beyond me how many dreadful signings John Griffin has made for the club he couldnt see talent if it was standing infront of him.

Calum Willock

Willock through on goal with only the keeper to beat in the first half, I knew the one place it wouldn't end up.... :( We'd have gone in with our tails up, all square had he stuck that away!

Early in the second half, Frampton's drilled cross into the 6 yard box was perfect. If Willock hits it on target it's a goal, Instead it dribbles out for a goal kick.

Hopefully this new 'striker' is deadlier infront of goal, a decent striker would have easily got 2 today with the chances Willock had!

Calum Willock

THink you'd better leave right now, before you get any deeper

I am feeling quite musical tonight so, in the words of a legendary song

Go on now go
Walk out the door
Just turn around now
For you're not welcome anymore

In other words, do us all a favour and just give up, why you have ever been caled a "striker" I don't know, I have never seen any evidence of it whatsoever
AND
John Griffin you are a disgrace..you are way past retirement and should be put out to pasture:sad:

Calum Willock

Callum Willock ... I've seen much worse put on a Brentford shirt !

Calum Willock

3 chances - does not connecty with two; nowhere near on third

Ide - 4 chances - Scores two; makes keeper pull off good save; goal disallowed.

Compare and contrast

like dj campbell he was terible werent he :nono:

Calum Willock

He's a target man hence the 3 goals in 30 games but yeah i judge a striker on goals at the end of the season. However its unfair to judge Callum on his goals when the whole team hasnt even scored that many.

He holds the ball up well, some decent knock downs.. but same old thing with Brentford, does sod all moves to another club and will be banging in the goals. If we were near top of league winning games im sure Callum Willock would score a few of them and play to a decent standard.

Oh come on!! DJ hardly had a look in in the first team, played a few times scored a few goals, then buggered off!! Who's to say he would have done a good job for the rest of the season?? Look at Sodje, all hailed by us then after January was sh*te!! One good "scouting" in the couple of years from JG doesn't make him a bloody hero, we have had far too bigger share of talentless sh*t in the last few years to last us a lifetime courtesy of JG. The man is past it and we deserve better

How can you be 'past it' as a scout? lol

Surely the only way that can happen is if you have severe visual problems.

Calum Willock

UMMMMM....

DJ was great .

But come on lets face it John Griffin and his s**t signings what happend to Fola whatever , Clyde W , Jamie England and the list goes on and on .

Im sorry but John Griffin is someone that has caused some awful signings .

He done more harm then good.

Calum Willock

If you select players on a volume basis as appears the case with Griffin then there's bound to be a few successes but I'm afraid they a far outweighed by the failures.

Calum Willock

I don't remember a forward at Griffin Park trying so hard but achieving so little. Even the Trolley had his run of form.

Calum Willock

Willock is just out of his depth at this level.

I disagree. He's sh*t.

Calum Willock

I don't think Willock will bang in goals anywhere. Other parts of his game have improved - he holds the ball better than he did and wins a few in the air (though not enough) but he never looks like scoring

Calum Willock

He's ****ing sh*te end of. One of the reasons we are at the bottom ffs. He is meant to be a striker, and he aint that is he?

Calum Willock

  Pillock

I was asked twice yesterday to play up front by people who I used to play football with................................says it all:D

Complete waste of a shirt I'm afraid..................you are the weakest link goodbye:wave:

Calum Willock

Will stlll be out of his depth in Div2

agree with the person who said, has never seen a forward try so hard and be rubbish, or something like that.

Strange thing is that he was rated by Fulham, Rangers and Peterborough at one stage and all three gave up on him. Reminds me of the Trolley in as much that you think that a goal and a bit of confidence and he could improve.

Sadly its time to cut our losses, what hacks me off is a small club like Orient can produce someone like Ibhere who looked a threat every time he got on the ball. Add to him Caleb Folan at Chesterfield, McLeod @ MK and dozens of others why do we always seem to opt for the donkeys like Winegum, Fola and CW.

Calum Willock

He can't shoot and he can't head the ball. (other than flick ons).

Not a great background for a striker really.

Time to cut our losses.

No one wants him

When is his contract up

Allen was great with strikers wasn't he?

Bit harsh...he was brought back to GP by Noades and no doubt he played a big part in bringing to GP a host of decent players since that era, under Coppell, Wally and Allen...yes we couldn't afford them all but not his fault.

From Evans, Rowlands and co to Sonko, Hunt.... Sodje etc...and I think he was responsible for getting Tabby in as a youngster from Palace so maybe his time here will be seen in hindsight as pretty positive.

Agree though the recent signings have been awful, so maybe it is time he retired with grace.

We all know that Willock is absolute pony and not even a conference club are going to show any interest in Jan, so as the useless **** is costing us good money and we are fighting to stay alive, how about sacking Hill & Farrar & pt groundsman and making Willock do it instead of being a professional alleged footballer.

Can Owussu not answer the phones???

Surely the rest of the dead wood can be used to for the good of the club in other areas - give them a paint brush or something.

Owusu is still coming to terms with the fact his groin appears to have been removed... so stop picking on him:wave:

So it's a team thing rather than and individual one?

Agree partly with the fact that you play as a team win as a team and granted the service willock gets is poor, but surley if he was any good he would score goals no matter the league position, I'm mean there have been good strikers over the years who scored goals and played in sh*t sides, sides that have been down the bottom.

I can remember Danny Allsop the Aussie striker from notts county I think he went to hull city after that scored a few goals when county were struggling at the wrong end of the table a few years back.

Callum is a donkey I don't know if its lack of talent or a lack of self belief a combination of both I think.

Far to much reading of stats befor seeing the player a panic buy after selling DJ.

Calum Willock

I like the guy and really want him to do well. His work ethic is good and he keeps trying but his body language with that 1 on 1 last week was comical and just shows you that he really is cack. We know he is sh!t, he knows he is sh!t and no amount of confience will help him as I am confident he is sh!t.

Calum Willock

It's also not his fault that he gets picked every week, you can fault players for effort but not for being sh!t. He tries hard and can't be shafted for lack of effort, you have to look at the bloke picking him for the bad guy in all this.
