For those brave enough to attempt this with all that's going on,check www.nationalrail.co.uk .It has up to date info on all the train companies, including the emergency timetables that they are currently running.

by the looks of it, from what i can work out, london to cambridge seems to be alright, but it probably take much longer than usual. as the journey is relatively short, you're not likely to be stranded in cambridge at 6pm on a saturday.

There are also regular Coaches to Victoria although the M11 is a bit of a mare at the moment (I think you can get £5 return ticket if bought in Cambridge).

The weather is supposed to be getting worse, all out rail chaos by the weekend. If the game is on at all.

M11 has some pretty major roadworks on it at the moment- it took me over an hour and a half to get back to Docklands from Cambridge a couple of weekends ago (at 11pm on a Sunday!), normally only 50 minutes or so. Shouldn't be a problem for you De-Generation Bee coming from the Luton area.

If anyone can get over to East London I should be able to give them a lift (only a little car though and I might not come back until Sunday, so not that useful!!). Are the regulars on this board thinking of going to any specific pub before/after the match?

If you are planning to go to the Greyhound park in the aptly named Beehive centre on Coldhams Lane. Actually it shows my age, I think it has been renamed Leo's and the main shops there have been demolished.

The only good thing about the Greyhound is that it is quite near the ground.

Latest rout I have (from Whitton) is:

Train to Vauxhall
Tube (Victoria line) to Tottenham Hale
Train to Cambridge.

Leaving Vauxhall at 10.00ish will get you to Cambridge for 12.10 (alledgedly)

£22.80 for a return from Whitton coming back Sunday (sorry, didn't get a price for day return)

Anyone going by train-DO NOT go via Kings Cross.Complete no go basically due to broken rail,so go via Liverpool Street(or Tottenham Hale)-trains at 19 and 49 minutes past the hour.
