Cause for Worry

"We will look at players contracts in the next few weeks. I do not believe we have to let anyone go unless it is my wish."

Butcher also believes Brentford can get out of League Two at the first time of asking if the start of well,

"If we can get in the right players to do a good job for us, allied with the good young players we have coming through, Brentford could be a big success story next year."

Just read this on ''The Beehive''.
Bit worried about the bit where TB states
''will look at players contracts in the next few weeks. I do not believe we have to let anyone go unless it is my wish."

Seems fair enough. I translate that as "the decision is mine".

**** me, he couldn't make it any plainer, how is that a cause for worry?

Cause for Worry

Terry Butcher must do what Terry Butcher believes to be what's needed, not what every Tom, Dick or Harry in the pub or on the GPG thinks he should do. I'd be highly surprised if he did, but if TB builds a team around Brooker, Willock and Tillen, lets Jo go and ditches Ide next Season - it gets my support; and if it works he gets cheered to the rafters, if it don't work he gets justly criticised. But he's the Manager, and he must see the players for what he thinks they can do.
