It would be nice if they done a mix of London Pride and ESB Lethal combination and no one would see anything after 1 pint of that.

Re: events on SUNDAY

I do not think the official website is advertising it enough, instead of having the advert for SMS messaging at the opening page they should have mention of this game.
I'm sure it will bypass a lot of old timers who would like to come and have a look at some of the old heroes, I'm gutted to be missing it

I buy my lunchtime cheese and onion rolls from Paul Priddy and he said he was hoping to play, would have brought a couple of stale ones to throw at him lol

Re: events on SUNDAY

Blimey, what a missed opportunity the GP100 celebrations are going to be. I was really looking forward to them, but it doesn’t sound very exciting at all.

Who is in charge of selling the day? Are their loads of GP100 items to buy? Am I going to be able to meet the players and get autographs etc? Is there a book out yet? I will be attending, but I can certainly see why many people are under-whelmed by what little information has been put out so far.

Great point Phoenixkeeper, my mrs and my boy are going, I've got other family and friends that are taking their wifes. I hope we dont get the scenario where the doormen dont say sorry "you cant come in full up." That will be the iceing on the cake. I hope they extend stripes out into the forecourt.

I Might be able to answer a couple of points.
1. I believe it is the intention that fans can meet the players (and presumably get autographs) after the match/es, in Stripes.
2. No, but Mark tells me it is nearing completion, so make sure you complete a 'Roll of Honour' form on Sunday!

I tell you what, there are some names who are attending that are worth the admission fee alone.
I'll be stalking them all day.

Sir Bobby Taylor, Denny Mundee, Terry Evans alone are enough for me.

I met Evo in a hotel in Manchester before he set off for the States.
I think they are back on the Saturday, but to be fair, to get all the way back down to GP on the Sunday is asking a bit much..

I'm currently working about 200 yards from where Jamie Bates' wife used to 'work' ! and he got front page on the News of the World cos of her job.

Why no Jamie Bates turning up ? Is he too embarrassed ?

Why no Andy McCulloch ?! I'm quite surprised he isn't going to be there.

And where's Sir Stanley Bowles ?

Can't wait to see John O'Mara, Gordon Sweetzer and Bobby Ross
Would've liked to have seen and spoken to .. John Bain. Dave Metchick. Willie Brown and a few others.

Do we know what the teams are for the Ex-Bees game ?

I was sitting next to 2 girls on the train who were talking about playing in this. I didn't recognise them but they were both lovely.

We bonded by moaning about the b*stard japanese schoolchildren on the train doing our hungover heads in !

Have you read the book Woodman did with Gareth Southgate Bee H? He didn't seem to enjoy his stay at Brentford much, maybe something to do with the fact that when he was warming up to make his debut, a Brentford fan shouted from the Brook Road end (allegedly) "**** off back to Northampton you ****". He also told a story about not liking the **** being taken out of him (after dropping the ball at Stoke costing us a 1-0 defeat) by a Brentford employee at a Sportsman's dinner. On a microphone for all to hear no less :D

But Woodman did speak very highly of your good friend Mr Noades so that's alright then :fishing:

Centenary Day Timetable

as if any Bees fan would shout that at him re "going back" to Northampton. If you remember his home debut he bottled it big stylie on the first challenge which resulted in a goal and it was only saving Scott Partridges penalty that got him on track.

Woodman is one of the very best at dishing it out but one of the very worst at taking it. He'll acknowledge invites and not turn up without a word (Sunday = prime example). You're his best mate if he wants something.

He doesn't have too many friends and was lucky to have clung on to Southgate's shirt tail, mind you, he's used that connection to profit from !

Noad€$ wrote to him saying how much he enjoyed the book btw ! The two of them go well together.

And as for the amount he tries to charge for his company's services on charity Gold Days and the way he tries to drop people in it from a great height - I wouldn't pi55 on him if he were on fire !
