"SITUATIONS VACANT"

C.E.O. required for an Altonwood subsidary, Brentford F.C. Limited.

Apparently they're a football club (c'mon Palace) and our great leader has made sh1t loads of tax relief out of them in recent years. There's potential to stitch the Club up even further if the people currently trying to run it do actually succeed in progressing a new stadium. We need a good Altonwood person in the Club to keep us fully abreast of the day to day developments so our great Messiah can move back in whenever he wants.

The great thing about this position is that if you f*ck up, you can spew bullsh1t a'plenty and lie through your back teeth and your fellow Directors & Management will gloss everything over as they don't want the boat rocked or their salary, G&T's or Cup Final tickets threatened.

The supporters say this and say that but it's such a nice friendly place that there's rarely any violence so basically you can do what you like there.

Appealing ? If so, grovel to RGN's office like crazy and we'll see"

Good news Bee H, I think I know the perfect candidate :sorted: I'm sure Gary Hargraves could be tempted to come back to steer the club to a brighter future for only a small increase over what he was earning here previously. The great thing is that having attended one or two games since he's left as Eddie Rogers guest we know he is Brentford through and through :banghead: :banghead:

Chairman's statement

I'm just staggered.

I have almost come to get used to incompetence (it's Brentford . . .)

I cannot accept being lied to.

I cannot accept Brentford supporters being treated like total idiots, and that's what this amounts to.

I'm just lost for words to express how angry all this has made me.

Chairman's statement

The weird thing is that they know we aren't stupid. So why treat us like we are? The failure of the internal inquiry and/or Rogers's statement to address the fact that we were lied to by our club last week is simply not on. Sack the lot of them!

Chairman's statement

Don`t just take this sh*t go up to the BU Info Point and tell them what you think of their performance.

Also get your whitewashed arses down to the forecourt after the game and help start the Sack Our Board campaign.

We have to stop being so soft and then lose MA.

I HAVE HAD ENOUGH. I DON`T CARE IF THEY BAN ME.

Chairman's statement

No real surprise, frankly, but words totally fail me at the moment :banghead: .

They cant ban you , if we could get banners made in a day , would we be let in with them ? Who are we asking to sack them , Noade'$ ? Some of you on this thread attended meetings and appointed BB,JB ,PJ , is that the main BU board ?,sorry I dont pay attention .Why cant BU remove JM and SC for starters ? Will an EGM do this ?

I assume Toades is watching this carefully , what will be his plans ? Cos Im sure hes got some ( or Waddington has ) if the threat gathers momentum

Chairman's statement

"were" being to foo(ing right.

This is going to get a lot worse and we are going to see all the gooduns resign and be left with a shower of sh*t.

One more question:
Who honestly thinks RK or JM are going to take a pay cut?

Chairman's statement

That statement, from someone who I was assured on many occasions by duped BU reps was "a lemon slicer", is a shocking indictment of the incompetence that is strangling Brentford FC to death. The fact the lies, damn lies and Brentford FC press releases have been swept under yet another carpet is in my opinion nothing short of corrupt. Unsurprisngly the board of directors have washed their collective hands of any wrong doing, and looked after their mates into the bargain. What else should we expect from people who would, were they on the open job market, be unemployable? They will stop at nothing to hang onto office and employment, as demonstrated over the last 10 days.

In this evening's BU meeting I hope that anyone resigning does not use the "want to spend time with the family" excuse and actually comes out and tell the truth. Anything else will be a betrayal of the people who elected them, have worked their balls off to keep Brentford FC going, and have given their hard earned cash when they could scarcely afford to.

This is now a case of New Brentford, New Bees United. I haven't put a penny in a BU bucket for well over a year and I'm damned if I'll do so in future to pay for liars and con-men to take the ****.

Chairman's statement

How can you trust someone to produce an independant and unbiased report when they vote "NO" to a certain director being fired before he produces that report?

Chairman's statement

For me the worst part of this fiasco is that it has eroded the confidence of long standing Bees fans and when the cup run is over and we are back to the bread and butter League games the crowds will dwindle and we will be back to square one.

The buckets will be full of nothing but rain water as all the Bees fans I know who regularly donate say that there is no chance they will give money to the lying spivs who masquerade as our so called board of directors.

They have closed ranks tighter than the local branch of the Freemasons and have been conspicuous by their total lack of comment whatsoever this past week.

I really do not think these bumbling fools realise the exact extent of unrepairable damage that they have done to Brentford Football Club by means of lost support and I am sure that Martin Allen must despair to see all his hard efforts being screwed up by a bunch of amateurs who,if we are honest, haven't got a clue about running a professional football club.My main worry is that all this unrest and bad feeling between fans and board will see MA walking away......

But doubtless the poor long suffering fans will be told that it is all their fault.....why is it when this Club is on the verge of something really good...these imbeciles come along and spoil it for everyone.

The last two weeks should have been full of excitement and expectation but all this has left a very bad taste in the mouth and tarnished the gloss of some fine performances on the pitch.

THANK YOU RK and JM......BUT AS HAS BEEN SAID BEFORE...THIS IS BRENTFORD INNIT !!!!

Aberdeen flyer said:

When MA goes this summer, and as sure as eggs are eggs he will, then maybe the penny will drop and the directors of both New Brentford and New BU will realise they've screwed up the biggest chance we've had for long term playing success in living memory.

However knowing them, they'll just say they should've kept Wally after all...

Chairman's statement

Whoever made the decision about both ticket amounts and their sale may have done so professionally but they are also a f*****g moron. I've read on another thread tonight that JM told a complaining Bees fan on the phone in the midst of the debacle that the decision about Southampton ticket amounts had been partly based on the Club's experience of not selling all the Hinckley tickets. That's a fantastic basis on which to operate - take current situation and compare it to something completely different in order to make your decision. How did these people become so isolated from the fans? They could have asked any one of us and we could have told them that 4,700 tickets would be no problem.

I didn't seriously believe that JM and RK would be sacked - that would actually mean someone with some balls doing something and that is too much to hope for with this Board. I am confused as to how JM's role has changed - I thought he was already fully committed to the Lionel Road project. RM has presumably been demoted back to Stadium Manager and I trust that his salary and any perks will be commensurate with his new (old) position.

I am torn between wanting to keep my small standing order going to support the Club in general and MA and the team and cancelling it so I can donate it to Oxfam. Can't help but think that my squitty little contribution would do more good in the world buying a desk for a child in Tanzania than going into the salaries of incompetant, arrogant, traitorous senior managers at BFC.

Does this mean we will only get 10000 tickets for the final, based on how many were at Hartlepool!

From an interview on Sky "huge demand, thats what the FA Cup does to people" - why say that after the event ?

Chairman's statement

The reason they didn't sell out for Hinckley was because they went out of their way to make it difficult to buy tickets. Anyone not working in the Brentford area (including those who actually LIVE in Brentford) had to rely on a friend to get them a ticket, or take time off work - assuming that that was possible.

But no, the club decided that we were upset because they gave Lifeline members priority. I told them - King et al that the issue was NOT the priority, but listening clearly isn't a strong point on the BFC exec.

Chairman's statement

At the end of the day I don't believe that they deliberately got this wrong - but they did deliberately lie. And it's the lies that have been ignored in Rogers's statement - and presumably the inquiry.

Chairman's statement

Just think when MA goes is the summer, we will be firmly in the hands of these ****s -even Wally would do a better job than the 2 of them put together.....or is he lined up for a come back??????

One bucket will do on Saturday chaps.....

I agree. As a supporter I'd rather spend another year in "league one", in fact I think relegation will do us good - as one of our directors said last season.

Chairman's statement

G'Day from Wellington

Well, we are having fun since I've been away! Just read the statement and whitewash it certainly seems to be. Anyone thought that if there were sackings, then Brentford may have to hand back the money that BU "lent" the Club when the Directors were appointed? Can't believe that I'm not there for the replay or - if we get through - the Man U match, but at the end of the day, it's the Team that matters, so good luck guys, I'll be watching how things develop.

Chairman's statement

How can anyone have actually thought sackings would occur? Whose going to sack anyone responsible at board level?

The problem is that there are people who hold too many roles, as Rogers said in a somewhat veiled and weak way. A new CEO and marketing guy doesn't end the problem that because of actions of directors who've fouled up the BU organisation is discredited.

If we had BU nominated directors who weren't on the board of the trust as well then it would be far easier to remove them. The BU board should seek to sever any links between itself and the club board it's the only way to recover the organisation.

Chairman's statement

Blimey, calm down everybody. A mistake was made over the sales of tickets for one match - is that such a big deal? They seem to have sorted things out now don't they? Just chill.

Chairman's statement

Getting the number of tickets wrong can be taken as an honest mistake.

The arrangements for selling them were incompetent, something beyond an honest mistake.

Lying on the official site isn't honest by any definition

And those responsible get their workload reduced by the appointment of a new CEO (not a bad thing in itself) but presumably no reduction in salary

I won't cancel season ticket or SO, as I want the club to survive, but am sickened by this whole incident (and I've managed to get tickets for both games)

Chairman's statement

I'm not lost for words because we all know what happens at Animal Farm.

Brentford you really are pathetic, the contempt I feel for the c**** like GH/SC/ER/RK & JM can not be put into words.

Doug I really thought you were a businessman, seems I may have misjudged you. If you really think keeping the old boys network alive is the way forward, I suspect we wont be doing much talking in the future.

Lets get all the 'off the record' stuff out in the open now shall we chaps....

Stephen Callen, talk us through the deal you did with Barclays Bank when they over charged us by what was it....£70,000+...enough for you to be rewarded with a salary from the bucket collections though, wasn't it...WELL DONE YOU UTTER MUG, ANY FOOL WOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO FIND THAT, BUT YOUR COSY COMRADES AT BU HELD YOU UP TO BE SOME SORT OF MIRACLE WORKER...I think you'll find it fails under the category of DUE DILIGENCE...you know the stuff you're meant to do before getting involved with any business, not that the likes of you or JM would understand that...

You've all made your beds, now lie in them.

I am only interested in watching my team now, bucket collectors be warned, STAY THE F*** AWAY FROM ME IN FUTURE.

Chairman's statement

The Chairman's statement is just confirmation that the lunatics HAVE taken over the asylum.

Let's just hope that MA stays because of the fans - he sure as hell won't stay because of the board.

Chairman's statement

Would the last spectator to leave the ground after the Hull game, please turn of the lights and lock the gates.

I fear this could well be the final chapter in the history of this great club.

What makes it worse is that Bees United, set up by the fans for the fans has sat back, funded the downfall and watched the demise from a safe distance.

I cancelled my SO on Monday, I have a can that has been filling with change over the last few months. I will open it tonight and spend it in the pub, drowning my sorrows.

This whitewash is the biggest kick in the nuts for the loyal fans that have done so much to keep this club alive.

This board couldn't run a bath.

what i want to know is, if the inquiry has found that we now need a Commercial Manager and a Chief Executive to run the club day to day... what the hell are these directors currently at the club ACTUALLY doing to justify their salaries?

this is disgraceful, i'm another member of the "consider my standing order CANCELLED" club :mad1:

Chairman's statement

Yes Senor Tree, it's time to stand up and say, "I will not support the mismanagement and dishonesty". Against my desires really, my SO was cancelled this morning upon reading of the fix.

I will begin it again when the appropriate firings/resignations are enacted.

The Club cant be that bad off, just look at the pay rises that SC & JM received this year. Surely they would know better than anyone else how strong the finances are

If I carry on paying, then I am justifying their actions and I am not prepared to do that.

Having done some research today I'm willing to withdraw my criticisms of McGlashan & Callen drawing the "going rate for the job". Looking here the going rate for the job is about £245 per day so we're getting a bargain

1) Doug I really thought you were a businessman, seems I may have misjudged you. If you really think keeping the old boys network alive is the way forward, I suspect we wont be doing much talking in the future.

Hmmm. Well we knew what was coming did we not. We had been softened up for long enough before the whitewash. We had one director........step forward Mr Graham Hall who I submit was voting "No" on the GPG to any resignations before he even knew the facts and as he was allegedly on the "investigating team" then the issue was prejudged before we went through the charade of the inquiry.

1) Well Dougie baby hasn't done too badly has he now?? Having told me personally on October 27 2003 when I asked where his directors fees were and when were they going in to "the Club that he loves".......he replied that the monies were not a problem for him and that........." He would put monies in when the time was right". But although he may have helped out with short term repayable loans from time to time (if the rumours are correct) as far as I am aware Doug has decided that er...........the time is not yet right.......unless someone can correct me and confirm that a six figure cheque from millionaire property developer Mr Douglas White has found its way into the BFC coffers as a loan. But still I guess we need him around on his own terms to handle the integrated transport deal..........I think this was the one where we all took overhead trams which whizzed us directly to our seats in the DW Stand at Lionel Road but maybe my memory is playing tricks.

2) You have to wonder how the overcharging got away from the board in the first place. The accounts for the year ended May 31 2004 were distorted by the lower interest charges due to the acknowledgement of the overcharging and repayment by Barclays Bank. So we could have gone out of business at any time 'cos of a serious overcharge by the bank but hey what's £70k between friends. For Pete's sake any self respecting company has the software to track bank interest charges.........it goes with the territory and once you establish what the bank's policy is on uncleared effects then it is a breeze.

I think we're almost on the same side Brickie.......... :)

Chairman's statement

I can't bring myself to cancel my standing order for Bees United because it is my small way of supporting the manager and team. However, what I find hard to understand is why the latest statement did not include the following:

"this Club will never again generally allocate tickets without having first given priority to purchase tickets to Season Ticket holders, Bees United and Lifeline members".

This might have just been enough to have stopped others from now cancelling standing orders. The false statements, and decision not to take the full allocation have resulted in a major PR own goal, and alienation of the very people who have given so much support to this Club. These matters will have to be dealt with in due course but for now will the Club please make the above short statement.........the clock is ticking, whilst the standing orders are being cancelled. Is anybody out there?
