I'll bee there. Would imagine with an expensive period for Bees fans - all the home games, and Wembley tickets would go for no more than 1500. Nice stadium, parking a nightmare (I've had to walk at least 3/4 mile uphill after the game to Charlton Village and beyond), but have enjoyed visits there previously. Looking forward to it. Bees to shade it bearing in mind Charltons recent poor form. At least we played much better on Tuesday - didn't deserve to lose. A repeat tomorrow and we'll get something out of the game, I'm sure.

1000 tops - no longer a 'big' game and new ground for most, will be there via boat :)

£25.50 for league one? Balls to that

If we can take 1,000 to Orient and Millwall on Tuesday nights, I would hope for at least 1,500 on a Saturday. What was it last time for the 12.15pm kick off? 1,300?

It's our last away game in the south this season so I'd hope for a decent turn out and a good atmosphere. COYR.

True, just what another poster said about being expensive time, with so many home games and Wembley tickets can never tell tho!
Lets hope its not an embarrasing figure tho :sorted:

yes, you'll go through London Bridge etc it'll be the Dartford/Chatham/Gillingham train

Charlton

Yes you can go straight from Waterloo East to Charlton. Get the train towards Gillingham and it is one of the end platforms I seem to remember. The walk from Waterloo to Waterloo East takes 2 - 5 minutes. Will also be getting the train from Waterloo East, walk from Charlton station to the Away Turnstiles takes about 5 - 10 minutes. You Redz.

Charlton

Cheers how long does the train take from waterloo east to charlton?

Atmosphere was incredible, seemed like 1000 - 1250 fans? Has there been an official announcement yet?

Dunno mate, but the atmosphere did pick up during the 2nd half unlike those SE London stiffs.
They're on a downer and I thoroughly enjoyed the p!ss take.
We Are The Famous, The Famous Brentford !!

866 - I know for a fact that there were 2 Bees in the Charlton end on freebees...

So over a sixth of those travelling were on the BIAS boat

Charlton

I'm amazed it was less than 1,000. Correct 'ayes - over 1/6th of travelling Bees made their way on the boat.

The boat looked good on The Late Kick Off.
Looked like a proper old school turnout.
Voice needs to get an equity card.

I'm glad I didn't make the final cut if that's what it does to you, unless of course it was my widescreen tv. Some have definitely got the face for radio.:)

 Poor old 8corner looked as though he had a few chins. And I had to adjust the colour and contrast on my TV as for some strange reason the geezer near Westwing came across as being bright orange!

Late Kick Off

Can't find the Late Kick Off thread as the search facility is still blanking me

Nice to see 8corner and Brentford St George talking so lucidly on the boat, on last night's show.
Then, for some reason the TV cut to Harry Potter :banghead:

Good shots of Voice of the Braemar in the crowd at Charlton.....good support :cutthecrap:

Charlton

Did I imagine it or does Cap'n Jim look very much like George Clooney?

i agree. excellent stuff. well done everybody. we are a big club again. :owusu:

Charlton

Potter looked like one of those sex offenders disguising themselves as they walk in to court.
A few people even offered to buy the cameraman drinks if he 'lost' the tape.
Nice bit of MP baiting too, showed us to be a club who have a laugh.

Thanks ILG. Other comparisons so far have included Johnny Weismuller and Jack Lord (from some of the older female audience). Haven't seen the programme yet but hope it put BFC and it's supporters in a favourable light. Overall a great day - good boat trip, great support from great fans/people and the team doing us proud and ending an 85 year jinx. COYR

Charlton

Well done, looked good on the telly last night ,fair play to the skipper must have been well over the weight allowance for a boat of that size.

Her Majesty would have been well impressed with Leon's goal:sorted:
