Any non-cash benefits from our sponsor deal will take at least 6 months to evolve.....the biggest thing is breaking into the Chinese market, and alledgedly getting shown on Beijing TV.....this will sow seeds for success, generate revenue streams--however, while we are in League 1, i am not hopeful of any on-going non-cash gifts

speaking of generating revenue streams in China how would people feel if a football mad investor saw us on Beijing TV and decided he wanted to buy us. Given recent experiences would people here be happy to go back to being owned by an individual rather than the system of ownership that we have in place now?

I spoke to the chief exec of Samvo a few months ago to follow up their initial hue and cry and he said they hope to help Brentford "possibly" sign a Chinese international, didn't mention any specific names like the new Charlton guy.
When pushed for when this might happen, the chief exec went into even more vague mode, saying it would take time to sort out and probably be next season. Is San Lee still kicking around?
Hope it comes off though, if only to upset Boro Bee with a horrificly racist headline featuring the word 'takeaway'

However, we would need influence and possibly help from Samvo, to secure any decent player.
I doubt they have the influence, or the will power to release more funds our way.
