He gave the most crappy speech at the Brentford 125 Dinner - nothing about Brentford at all. It was as I would imagine his speech would be at a corporate do. For that reason I am out.

I don't get pictures with "celebrities", that's all.
Fair enough, and I agree to a point - the whole Ant and Dec thing was embarrassing and cringeworthy.
However, I'm always happy to have a picture taken with someone I consider to be a footballing or musical 'hero'. (Not that I consider CK to be a hero, but some might).
I named my cat after him when he played for Brentford so for that reason I'm in.He gave the most crappy speech at the Brentford 125 Dinner - nothing about Brentford at all. It was as I would imagine his speech would be at a corporate do. For that reason I am out.
I like him.
Lots of negativity on here but don't get it.
He's not arrogant and that's clear with the way he allows Ben Shepherd (and guests) to get away with constantly insulting him.
He's not anti Brentford - he's trying to be an impartial broadcaster.
He's full of life.
He'd probably be great company to share a pint with.

How they went from the 1985 FRT Final to 2010 and his Sky career was a bit of bizarre editing. Remember watching this live and dying of laughter:

Has released a Xmas album (heard it on the radio this morning)

Surprised she didn't know that already Mr T.fair play to him. i remember when we came over earlier this year, we were watching CBeebies (on account of our toddler) and Kammy was reading the bedtime story. Wifey has obviously heard a bit about the bees but she was fairly flabbergasted when i told her he used to play for us - she thinks we're a proper big club now![]()

we don't watch english tv so she had no idea who he was. it was just nice that while we were chilling, i could say "oh by the way, that guy reading the story.... used to play for Brentford" - now she probably thinks that's just what our ex-players do, like next week Jay Tabb will be hosting Jackanory or something
I was thinking that maybe you had told her that Brentford were the World's greatest team.
and was quite aware that we're not in the Champions League etc![]()
Must admit I was thinking the same.....Chris is clearly drunk whilst covering the Bradford City game for Sky Soccer Saturday today.
Very sad to see.

His speech is certainly worsening, despite the interview above saying the thyroid is being managed with tablets. I first noticed some slurring of speech 2 or 3 years ago, but in the past 2 years, the speed of his speech has really deteriorated. That might be partly deliberate, as he slows down to try and separate words and slur less, I don't know.I reckon he is not well, hope i am wrong. I really like him.
The more facts I am reading about the situation the more I am thinking that the Soccer AM clip was seriously in bad tasteWhether he is drunk or ill I don’t know but think this has been going on for a while. There was a clip on Soccer AM Shocker Saturday a couple of years back where he was covering our 1-0 win over Fulham. The clip joked that CK was eating a wethers original as he was slurring. At the time I thought there was a serious side to this
I've also got Hashimoto's disease. It's unusual but not unknown in men. The thyroid does a lot of the control of your body and, as you said, there are many and varied side effects from it not being effective. My wife also suffers from Hypothyroidism and she has read a few articles from Kamara about his experiences dealing with it.
She was diagnosed 3 years ago, honestly, it is actually quite shocking as to how it effects people, the thyroid is a serious bit of bodily kit!.
Her looks & skin changed over night, her hair started falling out, her weight kept changing from super skinny to size of a whale almost every other week, and her memory (short & long term) become nonexistent.
It is a really sh**y illness to have, no real cure for it, you just have to try and control the hormone levels with tablets.

Funny thing is, it was originally diagnosed because my weight had ballooned out. I have heart problems too, and the cardiologist was giving me a hard time about putting on weight. I claimed a foul, and eventually it turned out to be Hashimoto's. So, I got the medication, and then went on a weight-loss exercise. Lost loads, thought I'd been doing really well, but turned out the weight loss was because I'd developed type 2 diabetes.your not alone, apparently Liam Gallagher suffers from it also!.
Hope you have managed to control it, my wife has to keep changing the levels of hormone tablets, it does cause her blood pressure to get too high on occasions.
Best of luck ??
Yes there are connections between thyroid and type 2 Diabetes, I have quite a few friends and family who have one or the other, DaughterFunny thing is, it was originally diagnosed because my weight had ballooned out. Sometimes, the world feels like the Bees in the 70s.
What bouncing between the lower divisions with the very occasional good cup run?Funny thing is, it was originally diagnosed because my weight had ballooned out. Yeah, and just when you think things may be looking up, you get tonked at Stockport. What bouncing between the lower divisions with the very occasional good cup run?
Didn't realise he had been unwell.I was watching Soccer Saturday this afternoon, thinking I hadn't seen Kammy on here for a while. We know his condition has affected his speech and he wasn't his usual over-enthusiastic self in recent months.
I haven't watched the programme as religiously as I used to, so may have missed him. Anyone seen him lately? Hope he's okay.
