Hamer... Three in a row? His last game before returning was against Luton for the trophy wasn't it?

The 94/95 (Dearden) season would come close to the most clean sheets kept by a keeper in a season. Wasn't it something like 25 clean sheets? I am also pretty sure it was the same season we went six straight games without letting a goal in until we played Birmingham and they scored in that mini monsoon!

That was a mental goal.

Wasn't it Peter Shearer who scored it? He just walloped it and it swerved and dipped wickedly before hitting the roof of the net IIRC. I was one of the few (along with my old man) who braved it in Ealing Road whilst the rain lashed down.

That is correct. Although dearden played in 21 of the 22. So Gordon Phillips must have the record of clean sheets in a league campaign. Not checked it though!!!
