Given that he was a late emergency signing that was made because of Strevens' injury a week b4 the season started I still think that CC was a decent gamble - for 1 season who more than earned his salary.

The problem was keeping him on for a second wasted year.

Steve Kabba was more of a total waste of space IMO

Veteran arm waving is a finite resource and their aren't many people around who can pull it off so well...

Clearly! Well at least he and Bean can reinact some off those wonderful moments from the end of last season like when they passed to each other over ten yards with no end result against Notts county.

He does talk a very good game when on the pitch and very good at pointing out where the rest of the team are going wrong just a shame he cannot see where he is going wrong in his own game.

some old (er) players we have signed have done well but not many. stan the man, steve perryman (sort of), nicky forster and alex dawson (a bit), ron fenton, ian lawther, john docherty (last time he signed) , there must be more....

Think Wednesday sussed him out early on last season, 20 minute cameos late on in a winning side, just a name to keep the defences on their toes.

Think it says it all that at Chesterfield, he couldn't make the starting XI and everyone was singing "sign him up" to Rosler about Bidwell not this fella!

Good for the Colchester dressing room banter, but more useful now to 5 a side Masters football side than League 1.

I think people are right on this thread ,the old Brentford would probably have signed him.
After 50 yrs of supporting this club,I think we are now on our way!

Don't see Colchester doing much this season, rather them than us with Clinton - although nothing personal against the guy, just think his days of prolific goalscoring have passed.

Was a good signing in terms of character, for us as he gave the team confidence, we were missing a voice on the pitch after GA had gone. and he helped gee the team up for the last few games. I actually thought he would score a few goals for us but never came close to getting one. You could see he was good on the ball, very good football brain but be fitness wise he looked finished!

I think he could have done well for us, experienced head, could bag a goal or two given the appropriate time to score, decent to have as back-up

Really ? Might have shown a bit of initial promise but I'm struggling to remember a playing contributing less than he did towards the end of his time with us. We can and must do much better IMO.

Probably needs to play week in week out to build up his match fitness but for us he was worse than useless

Yeah you can see him becoming a coach either with the Yoot or with Strikers at some Championship/ League One club.

It was absolutely the right decision not to offer Morrison a contract based upon his (non) performances for us. Just get the feeling he could do ok for Colchester and good luck to him as long as he reverts back to his Brentford form when we play them.

Think the Wednesday fans were saying that soon after he signed for them. Must have a rather persuasive (and possibly a tad dishonest - shock) agent.

Durham has been awful lately, its one thing to be a Talksport wind up plant but he has been spouting more drivel than usual.

His one man campaign to rubbish everything Arsenal and get Wenger the boot is looking pretty damn stupid given the way they have started the season.
